On Sunday 28th November, the Clarion Hotel is the venue for the final Sligo Antiques & Collectables fair of 2010. This is the 10th Fair to be held in this spacious and welcoming venue and the organisers are confident that this fair will maintain the high standards already established by its forerunners.
The fair will gather together some of the top local and national antique dealers in one location, with up to twenty dealers present. Items for sale will include furniture, jewellery, porcelain & pottery, glassware, silver and metalware, clocks and watches, oriental rugs, books, paintings & prints, stamps & postal history, collectables… and much more!
In addition and to mark the occasion in a particularly appropriate fashion and contribute to the ongoing celebrations following on Sligo Rovers’ historic FAI Cup victory in the Aviva Stadium on the 14th November, the organisers have invited stalwart Sligo Rovers supporter and collector Anthony Kilfeather to display his impressive collection of football memorabilia, which he has been assembling over the last 30 years. The Sligo Rovers items will include programmes, flags and jerseys dating from the 1930s right up to the present day. In addition there will be a selection of memorabilia charting the participation since the 1950s by Irish football clubs in European competitions, including UEFA and the Fairs Cup.
Everyone from the serious investor to those with a casual interest will be welcome. There will be something for everyone at prices from a few euro upwards.
The fair opens at 11.00AM and closes at 6PM. Admission is €3.50 (€2.50 for students and OAPs) and is free for children under 16, who are welcome when accompanied and supervised by an adult.
We hope to see you there.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
