Whelan Jnr played for Home Farm, Senior played (mostly) for Pats

A few older Pats fans still talk about McGrath's debut for Pats (at centre forward) and how he quickly showed he was head and shoulders above the rest of them

Yea, just no good ones . As I said that was a first bash at best X1 and I could probobly do a second X1 almost as good (although I would fancy that X1 against most).

CTIL, you certainly did, I missed that, apologies. So these teams will be biased towards home fans as you will have seen these playes the most.

Mine, and I set a standard of having at least 2 league titles for each player, Paul McGrath the exception for his Ireland legendary displays. Very sad to note two of these are now dead , Barry Kehoe and Jackie Jameson (sub)

    Richie Blackmore (Dundalk 1976 - 83)

Eoin Heary (Shels & Bohs present)
Dermot Keely (Dundalk & Rovers 70's/80's)
Tommy McConnville (Dundalk & Waterford 70`s)
    Paul McGrath (Pats, 80's)

Pat Fenlon (from the Pats team late 80`s)
    Barry Kehoe (Dundalk 1980 - 89)
    Martin Murray (Dundalk 1985-90)
Paul Doolin (Bohs, Rovers, Shels 80`s, 90`s, 00`s)

Noel Larkin (Athlone & Rovers 80`s)
    Liam Coyle (Derry 80`s & 90`s)

    Subs

Jackie Jameson (Pats & Bohs 70`s/80`s)
    Rocky O'Brien (Bohs early 80`s)
Liam O'Brien (Bohs and Rovers 80`s)

    Manager

Hard to pick really but (maybe biased n all) Johnny Speak and John Minnock Snr and Jnr really deserve a mention.

Georgie O'Callaghan on his day was a wonderful player, had he behaved in a professional manner all his career, Im sure most folk on here would have him in their 11.

In fairness he probably wouldn't have been playing in the LOI if he behaved and acted professionally, he would be at a far higher level

Blackmore also played for Galway United for a few seasons in the mid to late 1980's. He was the best keeper we ever had IMO.

Also, I never knew Jackie Jameson played for Pat's. He was an outstanding player. RIP
