Excellent, looks good, will be dropping hints over the next few weeks.
Scope for a sequel too with the games left out? [edit: PS beat me to that one]
Can't believe they did the Blues v Man U match without interviewing Johnny Matthews though!
Volume 2 in the works already so.
I'll throw in my usual mention of UCD v Everton.

Will this be available at most book stores around the country does anyone know?
Excellent news and at least one of my Christmas presents sorted . good spread of games (although agree RE some of those mentioned that were not included). Hope the book sells well as there are not enough books about the LOI and it may encourage other such projects.
Sounds a great book, and no matter what ten games were selected, there would have been 10 more 'should have been in there'.
Def worth buying I think.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
Shamrock Rovers were 6 minutes away from putting Bayern Munich (eventual winners) out of the 66/7 ECWC. That really should have been included.
I presume the Galway game is there for the novelty of a game in Carraroe as Groningen were never exactly giants of European football.
Despite the good spread around the league I'm surprised no Cork game was included. There are a few candidates.
Another obvious one was Dundalk v Celtic 79 rather than v Tottenham. Obviously Tottenham are a bigger club but Dundalk were inches away from winning the Celtic tie (Had it been a striker rather than Tommy McConville with that chance....) and in reality were not close to knocking Tottenham out.
Dundalk would have been the first LoI side in the quarter finals of the European Cup (or any European competition) too had they won that tie in 1979.
Pretty good list, though Bayern v Shams is an obvious omission. Also Drogs v Kiev - and possibly Everton v UCD. To go a little further back, Shelbourne v Belenenses in 1964 (?) where Shels knocked out a strong Portugese side may well be the best ever result for an Irish club in Europe. (I note all ten games featured in the book resulted in Irish losses. ONE featured victory would have been nice).
Anyway, very pleased someone has written a book like this. Best of luck with it.
I suggest gspain to help out with a volume 2 . Seem to have a great memory for games.
Shame there's no games from beyond the Iron Curtain. Something like Drumcondra v Vorwaerts Berlin (who were subsequently upped and moved to Frankfurt) would be interesting, both as a decent result (1-0 first leg win, 3-0 second leg loss) and an insight into what it was like for the players to travel into Communist Europe. There'd be some stories there that would be almost inconceivable now I'd say.
Since you bring it up, could have had the Bit o' Red in '77 against a powerful Red Star Belgrade side anchored by the great Dragan Džajić.
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow
Even if the sun ceases to rise
The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."
City v Bayern Munich, Galatasaray, Malmo

Yeah that's a great story. TG4 did a documentary on it. As you say, it's a little out of place because Groningen weren't as strong as the other clubs, but it's a tale worth telling.
