This Season- A Disaster!
This season so far has been a disaster. The longer this winless run goes on, the more embarrassing it will become, for already embarrassed club!

He's only stating facts, and he's right. This year is a disaster and an embarrassment. True supporters are allowed to express their opinions as well you know!

As for the off-pitch antics - the club is an embaressment to the team, the players and the entire league. The simple fact of the matter is that we didn't deserve a licence - we have nothing to offer the league.
If we continue not winning games, combined with the crap going on with the committee, we will be the laughing stock of the LOI.
It seems that all we can do is try to stick together as supporters, so I'll expect yourself and True Blue to have a big hug in the centre circle at half-time at the next home game!!

Keep the Heads up! the season is young. Don't think your the only club that have gone through a bad patch after nearly getting promoted. Bigger clubs than Limerick have fallen on the hard times.
It makes it all the more satisfying when you start the recovery

OK, 3-0 to UCD last night. The easy option is to say 'they are too good for this division' and 'they' ll give most teams a thumping this year', but there was something about the way we were pushed around by the students last night that made my blood boil. Ok FC Hammer call it 'bad times' if you will, but your willingness to just pass it off as 'bad times' is the attitude that will keep us in this mess. I for one think a team and club representing this city should carry themselves in higher esteem both on and off the pitch. 'Bad times' my ass.

Having seen your team play last night, I have to say the following.
You are far from being the worst team we have played so far this season.
Ye were well in the game until we scored and were unlucky with a couple of chances near the end. Limerick F.C. 2004 vintage play a much more attractive style of football than some other Limerick teams of the past.
It is a miracle you have a club at all playing in the League this year. What needs to happen is that everyone interested in having a League club in Ireland's third largest city needs to do their utmost to make sure you have a club next season as well.
The results will improve. I reckon so far ye are better than Galway United, who were absolutely putrid when we played them in Belfield Park.
You probably will take points from everyone from midtable down over the next phase of the League and that might see you in the middle of the table by seasons end. I would guess having see ye only once that you are 4 players shy of a promotion winning outfit. Which given the difficulties the club had in pre-season is quite an achievement.
I personally believe the League needs a team in Limerick. It would be unthinkable to have Limerick in the same situation as Cork were in the1982-1984 period without a club in the Highest League in the country.
I wish ye a first win in your next fixture, if not then, hopefully the one after that. You will probably start winning in the League Cup . You have a reasonable record in that competition down through the years.

From what I hear the Players are ****ed off with the constant changing of formations. When we play 4-4-2 we look like a fair side, last night we played 3 in the middle and reverted to 4-4-2. The Players are not training together. Last year all the team trained together cept for the Kerry lads.
This year we have people in Carlow, Cork,Galway, Kerry and a few only based in Limerick. Fitness should not be an issue here as programs can be organised but for tactics we need to be training as a unit. Mike is Panicing and changing teams & tactics. What we need is to play the same 11 each week, barring injuries, and for that squad to train together so that we can establish some tactical nous.We are as good as half the teams at least in this division.
At the moment the full backs dont know who is ahead of them what ball they like etc..James Sugrue played in the middle last night for example..go figure.?
There will be changes when the transfer window arrives , hopefully CP will go! , some lads from Desmond,Junior and Kerry on way. But the bottom line for me is that they train together so that they can foster a team spirit, something we are severly lacking in this year.

I think we are all in agreement that CP is not doing the business so why does Mike continue to start him, he rarely finishes a match now so why not try the opposite, give him the last 20 mins if he's needed and see if it changes his attitude.I have to say he's a hell of a frustrating player to watch, because the talent is there its just his attitude is all wrong.If the rumours circulating about the new guys coming in are true, then I can't see Mike holding onto him.We need players who are 100% commited to the "Team", solo artists need not apply.
Agree about training together, how can the players forge an understanding with each other when most of them only see each other on match days.

It is a shambles at the moment. We definitly need a few more players, especially in mid-field where we are winning next to nothing in the air.
Oh, and lets not forget that we need a striker who wants to play WITH the other members of the team....

How come Limerick struggle so much on the pitch and off it?My brother lives in Limerick and the junior scene is strong there so you'd imagine this should help the senior club.I heard the support is poor with only a couple of hundred at games and the ground is only a Junior League one.For a team from the 3rd biggest city in the state ye should be doing better.Do the Limerick business community help at all or is it all rugby or GAA.I'm not slagging ye off and would like another Munster club back in the Premier division.Just interested to know.
Limerick has an abundance of footballing talent.
The Limerick and District Schoolboys League selection recently won the FAI Youth Inter League Cup in Belfield. Some very good young players on the team which beat the Dublin and District Schoolboy League team on penalties after extra-time. On balance the Shannonsiders deserved the victory cause over the 110 minutes of play they were the better side.
The captain Sean Flanagan , a bit on the small side, but what a player. Limerick FC should ask him to line out for them immediately, and try him out in the Under 21 League side firstly.
This is why it is so frustrating. We know, but there really isn't alot we can do about it. The club is just very badly run, very badly managed. Most clubs in the league would give their right arm for the potential that Limerick have, but potential is no good if you don't harness it.
