Shelbourne manager Pat Fenlon chose to field an entire second string for Tuesday night’s League Cup game against St Patrick’s Athletic at Tolka Park – but the points were in safekeeping long before the final whistle and the final score fails to reflect the dominance enjoyed by the Premier Division leaders.
Fenlon gave debuts to Scottish goalkeeper Kris Robertson and midfielder Alan Cawley, whose registration was only processed under a High Court injunction a fortnight ago.
