1st of all best of luck to balla for the rest of the competition, but 4 nil doesnt give a true reflection of the game,1st half we dominated the game and then enter the referee, denies us a stonewall penalty keeper last man so should get a straight red but no a disgraceful decision means instead of us going 1nil up and balla down to ten men they head straight up the pitch and take the lead right on half time. Now what is the point in non premier teams entering these competitions if we are not going to get a fair crack of the whip, the referee was 5 yards from the incident and bottled it because we cant have 1 of the big teams being knocked out by a lower league team,i just hope and pray we dont get this clown again this season.

If it was the ref that was originally pencilled in to do it, then he's one of the better refs in town..........and I doubt you'd call him a clown to his face, sound bloke and a good ref, maybe just had an off day for him, it happens

Ya got it mixed up. But he's not a Balla man. Have a look at his posts and he is all about Moyross. It's all on the day but I'm with Balla on this one.

It was J Carey and it was a penalty. Balla had a penalty not given after that. Before they went 1 up.

i didnt see any punches or elbows so i cant comment on that but what i did see was yere centre forward from the start of the match standing on the back of both our centre halfs legs sticking his hands in there faces and threw punches thinking he would get away with it because he was playing for a premier team.the ref was asked 3 or 4 times to keep an eye on him and he didnt want to know.if it was the other way round he would have being in our faces warning us about our behaviour fact

my god two big centre halfs asking referee for protection the so called centre forward about 5 ft 9 9-10 stone the big bully.. so what started the brawl then .. he had been having verbals since start of game and got raked down back of his calf before he was struck with punch/ elbow .. ..

Was the game called off over someone getting a slap or was there a huge brawl or something?

Nothing worse than playing Premier teams and the ref is on first name basis with all the Premier players.......he will be reffin Balla again next week but wont be reffin ye for a long while so it was the easy decision for him

Stuffed 4-0 and the ref gets the blame, sounds like Man U - take some self responsibility for a change. It's the same with the other post above where two teams decide to have a punch-up and again it is the refs fault somehow.

We don't have a Dublin lad playing for us.

There wasn't a punch up or a brawl. It was a case of our centre foreward getting knocked out.

What followed was the players then coming together but it wasn't a mass brawl.

I think the ref was probably right to abandon it as the game was never going to be played in the right manner after.

i take it that was after yer centre forward had punched both kennedy parks centre halves in the face when the ball was up the other end of the field!!!
