Hang on a second, they are struggling with a 3 foot wall atm, give them a chance like

Someone said somewhere that it was lucky the cameraman at the wall had moved before it went down, they actually didn't if you watch it on MNS you can see that he was right on the end of the section of wall that fell down and only a small bit fell on him

He had been right at the centre of it moments earlier and was lucky he moved. I believe mns microphone wasn't so lucky and was fatally wounded.

So no fear of fall-tering at the last hurdle again? Wall-to-wall success?

The fans must be students. Always rioting and forcing Gards to give them a few smacks with the billy club that lot. I hear the riot squad will be utilised for every fixture at the Belfield Bowl next season. Just in case the fans sit down in a threatening manner.

This here should be the NUMBER ONE PRIORITY for all clubs going forward.

Sarcasm noted, but clubs really need to get their facilities in order, it should be a priority. It is a oke how Salthill Devon are allowed play in the league without any covered stand at their ground, solely on the basis that they have applied, or will be applying, for planning permission for a stand. Was there segregation, or did Mons choose to go to the open side?

There were definitely Mons supporters in the tent, but it was pretty much full when I got to the ground.

So there was nothing stopping them getting under cover, bar being in the ground earlier? So what exactly is the galwegians problem?

Anyone who was there early enough could have got a seat in the covered stand but it was pretty much completely full 10 minutes before KO, we do have segregation for some visiting teams to the Carlisle but there was none on Monday night. When it stopped raining a lot of the Monaghan fans went to join the rest of their comrades in the DART side stand.

I think his point is that we should have 2 covered stands in the ground, which i would agree with him. Wasn't to long ago Galway's ground was pretty much the same as ours. At least with our open stand you can see were your going, the away stand in Galway has no lights in the away fans section, the Chillian Miners would struggle to find there way around it ! :P

Our original stand is poor - bloody floodlights poles obstructing views for a start - but what do you need a light for, reading? It is a feeble complaint, there is plenty of light to make your way around it, there are seats and a roof. The pitch is where the action is and that is perfectly well lit. I actually prefer the old stand to the empty monstrosity on the other side of the pitch to be honest - you feel closer to the play, and the lower roof means and end walls mean, when there is an atmosphere, it is amplified a lot more than in the new stand. Oh, and congrats on staying up by the way

He specifically said "away section", but there was no away section proscribed. Ye should've covered the existing seats and kept the shed, but maybe that's just me.

I swam in during the downpour 2 minutes after kick-off, not a chance of getting under cover in the stand. Reluctantly I went into the DART side which I thought might've been closed off, wielding an umbrella.

I got drenched as well, and I was in the second row of the tent!

Were you the nutcase just wearing a t-shirt and Rovers scarf?

I was stuck out in the rain myself. It was the cold that got to me during extra time.

Relax there ! i was joking, hence my little quip about the miners at the end. I'd love the set up Galway have in Bray, it's not far off being a proper stadium. Congrats on staying up to you too.

I suppose now the Monaghan fans know what the last five miles of a marathon are like.

    (Sorry...!)
