Moyross B were kicked out of their league for a similar incident so if the LDMC are consistent they will demote Croom. Disgraceful in a semi-final of a major competition to attack a referee for doing his job
they spoke about it on live95fm to day, it got about 10 mins airtime @ about 10.15, its repeated to night @ 12 midnight (I think)

Moyross where kicked out but not demoted. If the LDMC are to be consistant they will not let Croom play anymore games this season and give the player(s) involved bans for the next few years.
They could also have Croom on some kind of probation that if any further incidents occur next season there will be automatic points deduction. This way it insures Croom keep their players in check or keep check on who they actually sign or face the consequences. This way its the clubs own fault if they get further sanctions and no one elses.

Thats why I think a suspended points deduction for next season is the best way forward as well as player bans. Its very hard to enforce relegating a club for one players actions, especially when certain clubs might not get relegated because they have a B team or C team in the division below and can not be relegated. Hard to be consistant with the relegation punishment in my opinion.
i disagree totally the clubs should be held accountable it,s up to the clubs to sign these players, and at the end of the day they sign these players to play football and try to win games , not to assult referees and get games abandoned if a club signs a player they should tell that player how to behave on the field and if he dose,nt then he should not play another game for that club again....
one for all and all for one
I agree, I think they should be demoted, I mean you cant have 1 rule for 1 team (moyross B) and then have a different rule for another team (Croom), think about it when Moyross are allowed back in and it will be next season then they will have to go back in the league below them so they will have been demoted, the LDMC have set a standard and they should stick to it, no player should be allowed to threaten a ref, they deserve to be protected and if a club does it once (which Croom have already) (this is not the first time they have hit a ref) then the club should be banned for a year and left back in next season and the player banned for life, if not by the ldmc, then by the club. by the way, it will be interesting to hear from the Refs committee on this, they wont let that lye without some input and discipline
Spot on skyguy. Well said
Moyross will be back in the same division next season because they have a C team in the division below and two teams from the same club can't be in the same division anymore. Thats why I think it is a very hard rule to enforce, it would be inconsistant to demote Croom and let Moyross stay in 3B just because Moyross have a C team in the division below and Croom don't have one in 1B.
A club can sign a player, not have any problem with him all season and if he has one moment of madness all the other players and the club face sanctions. I still think clubs should be given a warning e.g. if there are any reports for the rest of the season and the following season of misconduct from any players at the club then the club face an automatic lets say 6 point deduction. That means it gives the clubs a chance to get rid of the players that caused the problem previously and gives them no excuses if it happens again. If teams step out of line then again after the deduction it should mean relegation from the division or hit them where it hurts, in the pocket. If this isn't the first time Croom have been warned then they should start next season with some kind of points deduction.
Players that threaten a ref physically or threaten him verbally should be given a straight 2 to 3 year ban so as to be known there is zero tolerance for it.

What happened the other night was very dissapointing, croom where excellent for the 1st hour of the game but when our lads went in front they just lost the plot.It wasnt just the two players who got sent off,5 or 6 more of them where a disgrace with their carry on,fair play to our lads for keeping the head otherwise it could have got very ugly indeed. On the game itself our lads where hopeless, worst performance of the season by far,we where blessed to be 2up when the incident occured, that said you need a bit of luck to win trophies so hopefully the squad put in a huge effort for the last 2 games.
Most if not all of the people on this site are members of clubs, instead of just coming on here complaining about the LDMCs discipline code why dont ye get yere secreatrys to put in a motion at the AGM. Im not giving out just a suggestion.![]()
I'm sure the ldmc saw exactly what happened so they shouldn't need other clubs intervening, they should do what is right for the game or other clubs will act exactly if they know they will get away with, they were elected by the clubs to run junior football,so they should the right thing and take appropriate action,I'm sure the referees will have their input into what is a very serious matter,if no action is taken then you'll have the probability of a refs strike and who would blame them,
exactly,if the ldmc dont deal with this incident in the proper way the referees will surely respond to it.
Granville 2-0 NewtownParkHibsofShannon(Or whatever they're called these days)
We ended the season on a positive note at home this morning with a comfortable 2-0 win. Our goals came from player/manager/coach/psychiatrist/sports science doctor Niall Walsh and on his last game Robbie Savage, sorry Jason Benn! The Gaffer's goal was a stunning 25 yard drive into the top corner with no deflections whatsoeverand Jason's was an opportunist Pipo Inzaghi type piece of centre forwards work, cooly slotting under the onrushing keeper.
Man of the match Steve 'Bruce Grobalaar' Benn.
And so to my end of season awards.
Player of the season: For me in my short time with the club it has to be the veteran Neil Mc Gourty. 42 and still class.
Goal of the season: The Gaffers wonder drive this morning.
Golden Boot: Myself!! 13 goals in 11 games not bad for an old fart!
Miss of the season: Omaru this morning!! Oh my..
Most yellow cards in history: Niall 'What you say'? Doran...
See ye all next season lads.
Zizou out.
The Beautiful Game
Any outcome on the Wembley Croom game, did the LDMC meet yet to discuss it..
wouldnt be too worried pal... If the ldmc follow precedent they'l be thrown out of the division, but then again...thats a big if!!
