    Granville 5-2 Charleville

A fine game of ball this morning played out at sunny Glenbrook in front of a strong home crowd. A fast start from both sides saw an open game and Granville struck first after 20 minutes when Jason Benn controlled a ball down the line and turned the centre half inside out before striking cleanly from 18 yards into the bottom corner. A few minutes later an excellent free kick from out wide by Liam Quinn was turned into his own net by the helpless defender. We were in control and looking easy winners until we gave them a penalty shortly after. They dispatched it well and were on top for the next ten minutes. But we held strong and our centre half 'Stuie' showed the strikers how its done with a beautiful snap shot from 18 yards. A real cracker. After half time they pressed lookin for a way back into the game but we added a killer 4th when Cian Byrnes controlled excellently at the back post, turned his man and smashed it low into the net. After this a great run from Liam Quinn resulted in the centre half being dismissed for taking him down just before he was about to score. We then let our guard down and the visitors struck with another poor goal from our perspective. In the closing minutes we made sure when substitute Luca played a super ball over the top for young 22 year old debutant Philip Coffey to race through one on one and calmly slot home with the assurance of an old pro....
Excellent result for our lads. My man of the match Liam Quinn.

    Geraldines 2 4 Wembley

Dines went 2 up early in the game wembley got one back at before half time and go the second just after half time dines could have scored 1 or 2 in the second half but didnt take there chances wembley got a penalty and put it away well we had a man sent off for a challange ref could have given him a yellow and but gave him a red imo. Wembley should have had a man sent off aswell but ref for a headbut but ref did notting about it. Ref isnt up to it this is the 2nd time we have had him and didnt think he should be doing high divisons.

Agree sending off was harsh, yellow prob would've been enough but there was no head butt BOTH players put there heads together nothing more. Dines looked good for their lead at half time but as well as sending off think fitness killed ye too.

This was a very good game end to end stuff had everything could have went anyway, view definately deserved something from this had numerous chances to score and played nice football at times, villes keeper did well today pulled off a couple of good saves near the end . Summerville had a couple of chances too , they dont play good football more or less route 1 but are fit and organised.
Good win for ville . Best of luck for rest of season

don't know the story with other teams in the division but the dines didn't do a bit of training over the xmas and it looks like it had an affect today

We were flat out over last month with Granville and it really showed today. Had legs to spare on Charleville.

Croom 7 Prospect 1, Ref was a disgrace made some terrible decisions, not taking any thing from Croom. they deserved their win they could have been double figures only for Larry Sheehan between the posts, Prospect missing 4 A players, just didnt bother turning up, they should hang their heads in shame for letting their players and club down

Good result for us this morning after being 2 down, the red card was correct jamie enright hacked down our midfielder and then pretended he got a headbutt, even his own teamates agreed he was stupid, pity because he is a very good player, overall wembley where the better side and deserved the 3 points, keeps us in the hunt for promotion best of luck to dines for rest of the season.

Wouldnt say there route 1, have been playin some excellent stuff at times this season, didnt see the game sunday but from experience i dont think january's a time for nice silky football, its all about three points, great result sunday, heard both sides really put in good shifts. Fairview have some classy players and will have a say on the end of season promotion and the cup, best of luck for the season to them!

Excellent result for our lads. My man of the match Liam Quinn.
My man of the match : Andrew Keogh. How this man is allowed referee in 1A is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, ye deserved to win, but when ye were 4-2 up we had an absolute blatant penalty which he completely ignored, ye go down the field then and our centre-half deservedly got sent off, but he was so frustrated with the ref that he lashed out and kicked yere player. very silly but it happens. at 4-3 it would've been a different game. looks like the top 2 are as good as promoted now. we didn't take our chances yesterday and conceded some daft goals

I thought he was ok myself. But he did give us the majority of the 50-50's. But getting on a refs back is suicide these days and ye did that early on.
