Well done Willie. Great for him and good for Limerick to have 2 local lads getting to prominent positions, especially seeing as they fight regularly in Limerick as well.

I was actually surprised the referee stopped it when he did, as he had given Hyland no warning (that I saw at least) and I'm not sure that Hyland was really hurt either.

That said, when a boxer is just standing there taking shots (even if mainly on the arms and gloves) without any reply whatsoever, a referee may feel he has no choice. I got the impression Hyland panicked and froze.

Don't know much about Martinez but Casey was countered well a few times last night, and will need to be tighter against better fighters.

YOu know better than most sligobhoy that european titles in proboxing mean nothing.

Not having a pop at Willie, I'm just saying that he'll have to do better than batter paul Hyland to get the exposure you think he merits

I would say that the Japanese guy Nishioka is the best of the lot.

TBF even here in Limerick I dont feel like he got the attention that Andy Lee got when he was fighting here.

Biggest mystery of all though is why these Tallaght lad keep picking fights with Southill lads? it never ends well.

Casey looks like a pure banger. I haven't seen much skill from any of these Prizefighter guys. Boxing fans would have a lot more interest in a skilled boxer like Lee who has the potential to win a World Title. Casey just doesn't have that.

Yep, thats why Mike Tyson sold out everywhere. because of his skill. Certainly not for his battering ram hands

Big difference between having devastating punching power and just being a wild swinger. Tyson in the 80s was a phenomenon with unbelievable handspeed and great defence on the rare occasions it was needed. I've nothing against Casey, but from what I've seen he's very limited.

Pacquaio awesome yet again last night against a bigger man. Margarito was made for Pacquiao to run rings around though.

Big Bang got found out last night. It really was madness to put him in against such an opponent so soon.

It was like Simpson vs Tatum only Casey didn't have the 'Homer Layer' to protect him.

I dont think he got found out. Anyone that knew anything about boxing knew he was going to get stopped. I had £350 on Rigo stopping him.

Well I would have thought Rigo would win but I wouldn't be brave enough to lay that sort of bread on anyone.
