    It does when you read that they changed the rule in the off season I think its stupid that a game should be called off for one player but Shels, Bohs and Cork wanted it that way...

    And seeing as Fahey has played practically every game he's been available for he's hardly a fringe player...

    But surely they should have made sure this new rule only applied to actual international games? I'm delighted we didn't release any of our players for this farce anyway.

    He's hardly in the class of John O'Flynn though.
    I can't understand why Pats released Fahey for this tbh. Likewise with Bohs-Doyle and Shels-Hoolahan.

    Can't speak for other teams but three of our first 11 are playing in this and if we didn't get the game postponed, I'd imagine we'd have pulled them out of the squad for this tournament. If the league want to play in this yoke, they have to allow postponements.
