    You Film Taste: Discussion

Since Dodge won't let us talk on his thread (tyrant) I have the following points to make.

Dodge I also like 'Ten things I hate About You'

Gustavo I like you more than I ever though I could like somebody from Sligo but Cool Runnings is poop.

Dricky Zoolander. Excellent choice! Especially the whole bulemic/you can read minds??!! bit.

wws I used to think I was the world's only Mars Attacks fan. Yay!

eoinh You have interest in movies that I have never heard of. Kudos due for the Donnie Darko reference though.

12th Man I liked 'The Two Towers'. Gotta disagree with you on that one.

    and finally

Pete I'm not even gonna talk to you after your dismissal of Donnie Darko. You just made my list! The bad one.

slk rubs Pete's name off his good list and adds it to the bad one
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Great film indeed. The first film I saw with the lady who's now Mrs PP. I loved it.

Expect me to do a few of these posts (Good idea slk...)

wws: Jerry maguire was in 1996

eoinh: Fair play for putting Star wars in the rubbish (but you love it) category.

12th man: 25th hour is ****. Terrible, terrible film. Mrs Warren Beatty is Annette Benning

pete: I don't think Demi Moore is over rated. I don't know anyone who rates her...

Plastic Paddy: Good shout on the revisionist films. Disagree about Di Caprio though

tetsujin1979: Good shout with Chasing Amy and Dazed and Confused. Although Dazed and Confused has a definite cult following

Conor: Fight club is good. Texas Chainsaw massacre is definitely not ****.

I'm not sure it was meant to. It was a sardonic look at modern families, hang-ups, love, regret and most of all, human weakness and strength. I laughed in parts and I nearly cried too. A beautiful film.

Yeah. Some people think he's a crap actor just becuase he's a good looking fellah. He's a damn fine actor and has a knack for picking cool films that won't neccesarily play up his pretty boy image
