Of course all of those are true. Who have you been talking to? Are you wearing your apron?

See #50. I really, really dislike repeating myself.
Hmm.
And would largely agree with you. Doesn't make it 100% definite to happen, that's all.
If Obama looks like being re-elected would suspect the mud-slinging (or the odds involving dodging of bullets) to be greatly increased.
Never mind their attention span, there's a lot of very paranoid people in the US.
Good News for Dah. et al.
According to the numerous news feeds, S.Palin preparing to run for the US Presidency.
May a Higher Power assist us all.
Seriously?![]()
You can't spell failure without FAI
It was a given John83, whatcha think she's been at for the last year or so? The sad thing is, a rake of people'll vote for her.
Obama is unbeatable in 2012 - the GOP wont run anyone serious against him
The one possibility is that the economy double dips but once that jobless number falls he us home and dry
I dunno Angus. He seems to be losing support left, right and centre - figuratively and literally. I honestly believe someone like Romney could take him. The republicans just seem to be able to politik much much better. They're a horrible, horrible party but they just seem bullet proof right now....all the while they can still make Obama look either uncompromising or just flat out weak.
They reckon the fella from Indiana Mike Pence is the one to watch.
Anyone know anything about this lad?
Now, he has a lame duck congress right now but in the last 3 days he has 3 big wins - DADT, the Russian thing and the 9/11 fire fighters thing.
The one sure way for him to guarantee vistory in 2012 was to lose the House. He now has someone to blame if stuff goes badly - and he is very very good at this. As someone above said, by and large the GOP are much better than the Dems at politics but this guy is a pro.
Also bear in mind that the president is elected by 5 states - Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and one of Iowa, Michigan. The nuts on both sides determine NY, Cal, Wyoming, Georgia, Texas etc - he won 365 EV's last time and he needs 270, so can afford to lose 95 - that means he basically needs to lose everything he lost last time, and to lose 5 other huge states.
And his team know that - so I just can't see it. And he won't be making any dumbass mistakes like Carter (malaise) or Bush Snr (read my lips) and there are no Reagans or Clintons in the GOP with the cojones to stand against this guy.
It is clearly possible - but I can't see it. It would take a terrorist attack in the US. And Adam, I know you are strict on defamation, but let's not kid ourselves that there are some lunatics on the fringe of the right who have figured that out.
DB Cooper is alive !
As usual, it'll be all about the economy. If it picks up before the election he's grand. If not he's bucked.
#NeverStopNotGivingUp
The bookies have the Democrats to retain the Presidency in 2012 at odds of 2/3.
Republicans are 4/3.
Easy money on the Republicans. Obama is a one term president if I ever saw one. No way the USA picks up job-wise in the next twenty-two months without taking on enormous debt.
Article on CNN suggests that the "double dip" in the housing markets is almost upon us. http://money.cnn.com/2010/12/28/real...dex.htm?hpt=T2 . Bad news for Obama IMO.
Donald Trump rumoured to be running in 2012. I honestly think he would be an excellent candidate and he also, arguably, would have the finances and connections to make a good run. I dont think he is affiliated to Dems or GOP, but rumours suggest he would be a Republican candidate? Surely he would have to run independent.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
It just depends on who they run. I would fancy Romney. I feel for Obama because he inherited a mess like no other, which was no fault of his own and was expected to clear it up in no time, which was never going to happen.
Legislatively, with the health care bill, Don't Ask Don't Tell repeal, nuclear arms treaty with Russia and gaining the deal to provide health care for the 9/11 survivors, he's not done bad at all.
