Don't mean to be a pedant, but Rubio was elected to the US senate. Rick Scott is the Governor elect for Florida.

By the way, did the Tea Party teach you to refer to the President of the United States as Barry Hussein? I mean, speaking of anti Americanism and all..

I actually genuinely missed that, it was such a dumb reference. Not just anti-american, but juuuust a little bit racist too. Charming.

But the rights or wrongs of Iraq and Afghanistan aside (and I guess only time will tell), neither of us can deny that US intervention has saved tens of millions of lives over the decades. Be it from either of the World Wards to the Bay of Pigs to Bosnia to saving flood victims after the tsunami and in Pakistan, to their intervention on behalf of the Chilean miners. Just sayin....

And how many lives has US intervention cost in places like Haiti, Chile, Grenada or other similar places, adding in lives lost keeping those countries in poverty so the US could enjoy luxury?

And I don't think you could possibly show - even with wild exaggeration - that the US has saved the lives of "tens of millions".

    *Pedant alert*
Don't see how the Bay of Pigs 'invasion' has anything to do with your point, however, if you're referring to the Cuban missile crisis, that would make more sense. The two are quite often confused.

If you lived in the US for any length of time you'd see things vastly differently.

I know a Kurd who's very thankful to the Americans for saving his family. I'd say there are plenty of Bosnians who thinkg the same way. And hopefully if Iran and Israel go to war, which just may happen the way things are going, you won't be looking to America for protection.
I'm sure the Iraqi Christian community( one of the oldest Christian communities on earth), who were relatively untouched before U.S. intervention, are really grateful.

    Apologies I meant Senate.
Does the Tea Party hold classes to teach me? I went to college in Boulder, might even be more democratic than San Fran.
I don't dislike Barry. He seems in a little over his head, but who wouldnt be?
Some on here seem like the elitist humorless fact less people that John Stewart talks about though. I do think some on here have all they can handle with their little cup and little spoon, to be talking about American Politics. Ireland has done very well for being neutral over the years while many Irish-Americans have spilled blood.

Very good point. Couldn't have said it better myself Crosby (except to add that we Irish are experts on every war we never fought in). But I don't think you'll get much change out of this crowd of faultless 'experts'.

Islamic extremists have also spilt a lot of blood. I suppose that makes their opinion more valid than mine.

They're entitled to their opinions, even if all it extends to is parrotting of Fox. I find users and opinions such as this are best met with silence. A conversation with a wall tends to be more enlightening and informative. I'll be over here talking to the wall.

I'd be careful, it wasn't built to stand up to that sort of treatment!

TBh this thread has wandered off topic into the realms of the ridiculous and the emotional. Let's get back to the core topic. To reiterate my opinion:

Of course he bloody won't. What a stupid question.

The Obama's New World Order ad that popped up there on your post made me giggle.
