But the rights or wrongs of Iraq and Afghanistan aside (and I guess only time will tell), neither of us can deny that US intervention has saved tens of millions of lives over the decades. Be it from either of the World Wards to the Bay of Pigs to Bosnia to saving flood victims after the tsunami and in Pakistan, to their intervention on behalf of the Chilean miners. Just sayin....
And how many lives has US intervention cost in places like Haiti, Chile, Grenada or other similar places, adding in lives lost keeping those countries in poverty so the US could enjoy luxury?
And I don't think you could possibly show - even with wild exaggeration - that the US has saved the lives of "tens of millions".
