4 irish starting today, and they are currently beating the top 4 side, therefore should ireland be among the top 4 in europe?!
On a serious note, when was the last time a club had four irish starting in the game? and also beating a team in the top 4 team
good to see doyle got this shot on target.

Doyle and Foley outstanding today. Hunt very good in first half but tired (understandably). Ward not quite good enough for me. I believe Doyle has been carrying an injury for most of the season but today he was in terrific form. Caused the City defense all types of problems. Foley has to be a serious contender for us now at right back. I thought his overall play today was excellent. Mancini will be getting his UB40 soon.
Great result for them today. Very pleased for the Irish lads.
Never breaks my heart to see City failing either.
Joining the dole queue...If they dont win next week he will be. Foley had a great game on wednesday too and he had a great finish for their second, as it wasn't an easy goal. Really begining to see a very strong 11 irish first team in the premiership(including russia too obviously) now. I really hope our international team reflects this.
Great result for wolves too and it was more than needed as they still sit in the bottom 3. Doyle needs to start scoring though.

Plugged this into the database I've amassed for Irish Abroad over the last few seasons. Wolves, Sunderland (twice) and Stoke have also had 4 Irish players in the starting XI.
No more than 6 starters in a single Premier League game in the last few seasons

Excellent research Tets.
Villa's Clark, Dunne, Ireland combo will definitely appear on that list in the future I'd say.
Mick M. switched back to a 4-5-1 today from 4-4-2 and Doyle excels as the lone target man. He rarely won the first header Against Richards, Kompany, or Toure but he made sure they could not direct their headers. Very clever stuff from Doyle and for me it stopped City building from the back. Kenny Sansom was the co-commentator today and he singled out Doyle, Jarvis and Foley as the top three player son the pitch from either side. Foley was a revelation today. Made the second goal and Mancini sent on Zabletta to try stop Foley sprinting forward with the ball. He almost broke Foley's leg with a terrible tackle. Mancini completely lost the plot late in game. Got rid of the City scarf and his jacket and was ranting like a lunatic at City defenders to stop Doyle bullying them (Sansom's words).

Four players playing in the championship next season as may be the case but still encouraging. I like Foley a lot too, we seem to have a lot of strenth emerging down the right flank these days - just need to change the pitch dimensions to cut out the dubious left flank and we'll be alright.
