I'd imagine that he's been kept on more to help the younger lads with the shining example of professionalism Daz has always shown. Id be suprised if he gets much game time other than in the A championship

I think you've posted our squad list by mistake.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

Harps confirm Ciaran Coll stays with the club http://finnharps.com/site/index.php?...ark&Itemid=101

Plus 2010 captain Packie Mailey turned down a much bigger financial offer from Derry to stay http://finnharps.com/site/index.php?...ark&Itemid=101

Probably should be on the defender list.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

Feeney played alot as striker with Sligo's A league side too. Good player, presumably going to be in a coaching capacity at the club too?

Just saw that today, great news for the club.
Re-sign Boco and we have the vast majority of last seasons squad.
Combined with 3 or 4 new lads and we have a decent squad for next season.

asap too, need to get them training together for at least 4 or 5 weeks before the season starts.

yeah he played up front and centre half at times too. was very good centre half imo in the run he got in the first team in mid 2009. our best player out in albania at centre half.
he has a quality touch, good football brain and is a very good coach too so maybe he'll be involved with the A team or something too

When he came into first team initially we were in the first division he looked a really good centre back. There was rumours that Villa and Southampton (they were Premier Division at the time) were looking to take him over on trial. Probably would have been around 2002 and 2003. Never realised that potential though

    Finn Harps 2011 squad:

    GK:
    Ciaran Gallagher
    Chris Patton

    Def:
    James Doherty
    Packie Mailey
    Ciaran Coll
    Gary Whoriskey

    Mid:
    Christy Conaghan
    Gary Merritt
    Raymond Foy
    Tommy Bonner
    Mark Forker
    Conor O'Grady
    Marc Brolly

    St:
    Kevin McHugh
    Oisin McMenimen

others training with the squad and likely to sign are:
    Aaron O'Hagan - defender
    Keith Cowan - defender
    Kieran Gorman - defender
    Matthew Crossan - defender
    Neil Harkin - midfield
    Chris Breen - striker
    Garbhan Friel - striker
Plus another midfielder to be confirmed today I would think.

Really strong squad this season, only really weak spot is central defence.

Craig Mooney has departed Longford Town FC to go travelling to Sri Lanka for six months. He may come back once his travelling is finished.. Bit of a blow to us as he was one of the better players for us once fit as he only played 18 games for us.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
