No real point at this stage. Some like Rovers are fairly set. others like Pats, Dundalk, sligo have a decent shunk sorted. Others have barely a handful signed up

Signing up again for another campaign will be goalkeeper Stephen Conlon, defenders Niall O’Reilly, Michael Lee and Chris Deans. While also retained are midfielders Mark Salmon, Craig Mooney, Thomas Hyland, Cathal Brady and attacking pair Lee and Aidan Roche. Having spent a portion of last season at Flancare Park, town supporters will also be familiar with new signings Jason Oladele and Don Cowan
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

I remember the days when we'd only have two players signed at the end of Febuary.

Does that include A team players?

All these lads would probably be considered A team players to be fair. The gap isn't as massive in the First Division though, like the fellas in bold there all made senior appearences last year aswell, two or three players nearly always come through.

I think this proves (well from a Limerick perspective anyway) that the A Championship works, and very well at that.

Interesting to see if the resigned players are actually there at the start of the season, very interesting.
False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.

Not really. League status maybe but structure wise we are in a way better position. Before the A league we had no back up players that where playing ball fairly regularly. We had no young players playing at a decent standard and we had nowhere for players coming back from injury to get a few games before returning to the first team. We now have all this and it is helping build up our squad for the coming season.

    Joey Ndo confirmed
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow
Even if the sun ceases to rise
The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."
