I can confirm this.

In a shrewd marketing move we have also signed Counting Crows, Russel Crowe and Brandon Lee aka The Crow.

That reminds me of a fantastic story from when Danny Drew was chairman/manager. This Croation lad turned up claiming to be ex Yugoslav International Darko Bacic. Danny of course immediately signed him on 5 grand a week or whatever the going rate was for Limerick players at the time. There was just a couple of troubling details, one being that his age didnt really seem right and the other being that he didnt appear able to play football.

Anyway many fruitless weeks spent trying to get international clearance from UEFA and finally a breakthrough! It turned out the real Darko Bacic was coaching in Sweden....... Altho he had lost all his papers when his village was burned down by some class of Serb militia.

Q "Darko Bakic" running to Dublin airport to get away from Danny, only to be intercepted by an excited DAMIEN RICHARDSON who couldnt belive his luck at finding a Yugoslav international. weeks of trying to get international clearance for this player........

Without going anywhere near the money reasons (although i'm sure his wages must have come way down) the above would be one of the main reasons.

Read in one of the papers this morning that UCD's Evan McMillan has agreed to join Pats. Thought he was a decent player last year.

Also Davoren and Foran are re-signing with Sligo and MON is looking for new recruits in Scotland and how he doesnt rate much goign here and that hes been on to his old friends Lennon and Jim Jeffries about them supplying Rovers with unwanted players.

Please let Gaffney to Waterford! Seen him playing with Mervue last season as was superb in a poor Mervue team! Excellent replacement for Liam Kearney!
