Scored a few pens I think and got sent off once or twice! After it was announced he signed I dont he played his first match for another two months!

Always played as a left midfielder against us and a fine one at that. I would be delighted with his signing.With WJK commiting til end of 2012 and with youngsters like Michael Coady, Paul Murphy and Michael Rafter and the signing of Kenny Browne to go along with one of the most promising young goalies in the country in Kevin Burns all that added to the experinced players like Kevin Murray , John Kearney (should be back fro Oz for the pre-season) and Vinny Sullivan, well have a very strong squad this year.

Exciting times.

Any Shamrock Rovers fans know why Danny Murphy left? He didn't seem to play too much last year, was it O'Neill's decision to let him go or did he leave on his own accord?

He wasn't very good. Started the season well, but apart from flying in to tackles for the first 5 or 6 games he hasn't featured much and when he did he was really poor. I'd guess this means we are confident of Enda Stevens not going to the UK (who was a far, far better player than him last year despite being so young), or Conor Powell will come in to replace Murphy. Can't think of many other left-backs out there, so I presume one of those two will be lined up before letting Murphy go.

A few weeks ago, Tommy Dunne was on Cork's Red fm saying that he was in talks with Danny hopeing to secure his services should he part company with Rovers.
TV3 said this evening Danny will be signing a 2 year deal with Cork City in the netx 2 days.
