Magath alienates players very quickly, and simply being a disciplinarian isn't a great approach when results aren't going your way. So there may well be parallels with RK.

I'd like to see Liam Brady (to understand the Irish mentality and to improve communication) together with Tardelli, and I think this might happen.

    Agreed.

And Poyet could work out well too.

Sean O'Driscoll (touted by many as a potential future manager) sacked and replaced with Dean Saunders

I would say there is a massive chance of this happening.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

it would be awful if Brady got the job - he was a disaster at Celtic , i also don't know if he would leave Arsenal , i think the reality is if FAI are willing to pay anything near what Trap is getting they could attract some very good managers

I wouldn't want Brady to get the job but in fairness to him there were a hell of a lot of politics going on when he was at Celtic and the club was a mess. He wasn't as bad as all that considering....

I'd say with Tardelli has manager and Brady as advisor that could work but then again Brady had this role with Trap and left it to concentrate on Arsenal.

Brady sounds like he is genuinely passionate about the Irish team (e.g. on RTE and especially his tone around the time of the Stade de France farce) and I could see him heeding the call if it came. And surely someone in a senior position at Arsenal would have more tactical awareness and cleverness than the ridigity and inflexibility that has been Ireland's only weakness in recent times.
Perhaps not everyone's dream, but we should be realistic regarding the type of trainer we can get. And add on Tardelli for a bit of Italian steel and defensive discipline and it sounds like a decent ticket, way better than the usual gombeens that get peddled as candidates any time the job is up for grabs.

Brady is passionate about the Irish team but I don't believe that he has any strong ambition to be manager.

Nice to see Chris get some praise in the Guardian fans halfway review of the season. Aidan White also singled out by the Leeds contributor as being an emerging star.
Who's been the star? Without a doubt, Chris Hughton. In a period of five months he's managed to get the team attacking again and the supporters enjoying the football again, and reinstated the hope that things may get better.
Although it sounds slightly insane, I'd love if Trap was leaving after the Euros and we were getting someone in like Chris to give the team a overhaul, try to play with a new system and be more attractive to watch. Even if it meant not qualifying for Brazil. I'm sated by the Euros. I love Ireland, was at the last few games as soon as I was working and could afford it, but jaysis, it's not all that fun, even when we win. I think there'll be a group of lads in the next year or two capable of really playing football but I fear Trap won't pick them. Anyway.
