Waterford United closed the gap on Shelbourne at the top of the Premier Division to just three points following a hard fought win at the Brandywell.
The win moves Waterford onto 18 points, just three short of Shelbourne and more importantly, five points ahead of Drogheda in third place.

Derry City missed out on a chance to advance up the Eircom Premier League when they went down to Waterford at the Brandywell on Saturday night.
The Candystripes fell to a 38th minute strike by the Waterford’s 26-year-old defender Dave Mulcahy.
