I like the sound of that.
Really not impressed of having the trophy in the ground only to be handed to the opposition at the end of the game.
2 years in a rows the title could be lifted at the Carlisle... 3rd time lucky for us next season![]()

Hard luck lads you did yourselves proud only for that stupid linesman who knows

A good result for both teams on the night. I was surprised to see how strong our team was and I hope it doesn't come back to haunt us after Shields and Mitchell appeared to pick up knocks.
Some of our supporters also let the club down tonight and may have killed some of our profit from the fixture by earning the club a fine.
The lads should be confident heading into the playoff tie, knowing that there's no team in the country we should fear.

Most notably an empty coke bottle was thrown onto the pitch in the direction of the linesman. A few things were thrown onto the pitch, mostly aimed at the Rovers mascot.
Also, after we scored our second some lad was ejected for his on pitch celebrations (sticking the fingers up at supporters).
That was one of the best matches at the carlisle for a long time,, rovers were lucky tonight, a first half slip, a dodgy call for off side, rovers looked nervous tonight and rightly so, bray came out the stronger side and played some great football rovers where lost...
Graham kelly was fantastic tonight he controlled the mid field and was my man of the match.. great to see jake and gary getting the goals hopefully it will continue on tuesday.. on a negative side kelly seemed to have a calf injury and so did shields , hopefully they will clear up.. well done to rovers on winning the league and can't wait till tuesday....
IMO Hooperman (The rovers mascot) should have never been allowed to the game he was always going to cause issues ....He did give the place a great atmosphere and was brilliant on tv but something was always going to happen, as for the rovers fans they way they got up in bray players faces when taking throw ins was horrible everytime a bray player came to take a throw in the fingers would be in all different positions shall we say.....i know this is a common occurance at football matches these days but the rovers fans were just so close to the bray players it must have effected them....infact i seem to remember a bray player throwing a throw in straight out cause he was rushing to get away from the sideline.

All you zombies tweet tweet tweet.
Well stevo da gull , I think you are being a little unfiar to the supporters.
how about the rovers fans on the pitch ?.
whilst one of our fans gets barred for running on the pitch, the rovers fans dont ?.
they can get in with fireworks and flares and there is no problem, but our supporters bring in a smoke bomp and there up quick enough.
and the rovers fans that got in the bray section s*****g on.
and for the two fingers , what is that all about,we will get fined because a little young lad stick the fingers up.
is this a nancy club ?
look this is not a rant or any sort, but just saying the problems at our club are very much minor to other clubs.
I don't have a big problem with people sticking their fingers up. I'm just pretty sure that you can earn the club a fine by running on the pitch to do it, which makes it stupid.
Throwing a bottle at the linesman (pretty sure Hooperman wasn't beside him at the time) is really stupid and thuggish. I also don't think you can justify behaviour by saying 'it's not as bad x, y or z's behaviour'. I know that we don't have a large problem at the club, and I hope it stays that way.
As for the fireworks and flares. I suppose it's just tougher to make your way through a few thousand Hoops to confiscate a flare than it is to go through a dozen Bray fans to get a smoke bomb. Not trying to make excuses, I reckon it plays a part though.
I noticed the bottle being thrown all right but didnt see much else mind you I was sitting a bit further down, the smoke bomb just seemed to gas everyone who was around it. I also doubt we'll get fined, watching back the RTE coverage, they had such a riciculous hard-on for Rovers that Bray fans could have literally set the place on fire while standing on their heads and no one would have noticed
. As for the game, was very impressed with how we started and showed good fighting spirit to come back. Personally thought Dempsey was our best player on the night hopefully his and Shields? (my poor memory) substitutions were thinkin of Tuesday and nothing serious!
