Are you trying to effin brainwash me or what?
I much preferred the Kildare County Ultras displays anyway......
There's enough doom and gloom around the place, so this thread is to collect photos, articles, videos etc, that promote a positive image of our league.
Here in Tallaght, regardless of whether we win or lose, the Ultras displays and the crowd atmosphere are worth the admission price alone. This video short gives a flavour of what it is like.

Positives things about the league?
Only one for me - Sligo Rovers![]()
Me. Or maybe not.
Positives about the LOI:
THE FANS
No LOI without them
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
Real football, real fans, supporting a team that represents the community you grew up or live in, football for its own sake, not for event junkies and barstoolers . . . bitter enough yet?
I've lived and worked on three continents, been at the World Cup final, Champions League, the cauldron of the Camp Nou and plenty more, but none of that has ever given me the buzz I get walking through the gates of the Showgrounds.
It's like a lot of the best things in life - if I have to explain it to you, you won't understand. And I won't mind - that's your loss, not mine.
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow
Even if the sun ceases to rise
The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."
Glad you liked it.![]()

November and December - the time when clubs suddenly find reasons to implode and the otherwise placid media reasons to comment on the league.
On an even more positive note, it's live football in an enclosed environment and is always just down the road, you can't get any better than that. The standard might vary, the grounds empty and the weather awful, but it's live.
Sligo are the big positive for me this season. It's great for a club outside of Dublin to be doing well. I've nothing against Dublin doing well mind, lived in Dublin before and most Dub's are good craic! Still it's good for provincial sides to be doing well, I hope they can push on next season.
Standing in the lashing rain for two hours at some half empty ground. Cursing some poor unfortunate player for miscontrolling a pass that "me granny would have scored". Travelling half way across the country and getting back ten minutes after the pubs close. Rushing around like a lunatic because "i'm late for the game" (or more likely late for pre match pint).
knowing that however crap the LOI may be its our crap
Positive things about the League of Ireland:
(i) You're never stuck for something to complain about.
(ii) You'll always get a seat.
Pre match pints.
Half time pints
Post match pints.
