AH Ha - Never found Alan Partridge hugely funny on TV but came across him on the radio recently. Its actually much funnier when hes doing his radio show.

Big AP fan myself, although the TV version of KMKY was fairly weak (ten years ago! I remember watching the original brodcasts.) That said, the DVD is pretty good, some interesting commentaries and extended episodes.
The radio series of KMKY was brilliant, though. I picked up the full CD set (plus extras) in Easons recently, track that down if you can. Superb. The episode you linked to is one of the best. -
Alan Partridge is good alright but I would still prefer the stand up comedy especially Frank Skinner(even though he sits on a couch and has guests

His stuff on ITV's the 'All-Star Comedy show' has been rubbish (although he's not alone there), I find his stuff a bit hit and miss, never really got into it.
