Former Irish underage International and St Pats front man Liam George has been shown the door by Division III York City as manager Chris Brass prepares to rebuild his side after their relegation from the Football League was confirmed at the weekend.

Since Liam’s well-publicised battle with injury, he has had trials with Clydebank, Cambridge, Colchester, Gillingham and Rushden and Diamonds to name but a few, but failed to impress.
