Hard luck Magicme and the rest the mons on here, if ye can hold onto that squad or the majority of that squad , ye should come up next year. or is the Premier going up to 16 teams the season after next?!

Hard luck Mons, and especially Magicme.

Was heart-breaking listening to that penalty shoot-out.

Monaghan have been an example of a club that really do operate the right way, and it was great to see them do so well this season. Here's hoping they go one better next year, especially seeing as there are so many ex-KCFC lads playing with them.

A bit off-topic, but I think the radio host mentioned Cathal O Connor was not gonna be playing for them next season, any info there?

Hard luck Mons, ye must be gutted. For what it's worth, I reckon you'll beat Drogheda when the financial meltdown happens at *insert club here* over the winter

According to the Transfer Rumours thread he is off to Canada for the forseeable future.

What actually happened with the wall?

Mons scored with about 90 seconds on the clock, the players ran over to the DART stand to celebrate with their fans, the fans pushed forwards to the front, and the wall got pushed over by the force of about 70 well-built midlanders (and one magicme) behind it. It'll be on MNS in ten minutes I'd say.

If a Premier Division club has to drop out of the league would Drogheda or Monaghan be considered first in line for a PD spot?
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians

Bray got real lucky but they should have finished the mons off in extra time!! Monaghan looked to be holding on for pens even before they got the goal!! Fitness played a big part in the game!! Have the mons not got a fitness coach?? The size of philly hughes and a few more players!! Makes John Lester look skinny!!!
roddy collins should be a comedian!!

Was thinking about that myself and based on Last year it would be Drogs as Bray got to stay in the league for this year. Personally though if it was to come down to it id prefer to see the mons up based on their performances over the year.

It should be decided on a playoff, if the FAI are being fair, but unfortunately (and nothing personal agains Drogheda), I reckon they're more likely just to reinstate the Premier Division club

Went to high five our players who were celebrating in front of us and high fived the mud. Had to get checked over by medics after. Still in shock. Unreal that a wall so badly built can be in a premier ground. Disgraceful. I no longer work for mons or sit on their committee so I can speak my mind and the carlisle is NOT SAFE.

Not funny. Disgrace what happened with the wall in the Carlisle grounds. Well done to Bray on the field though, they had a very good end to the season. Off the field though, they are a premier division club in name only, very amateurish.

Hard luck Mons though, such a pity.

She has a point. It happens once, it could be a freak incident, but a second time in as many seasons, and there's something wrong with the wall. It's not like there were thousands of Monaghan fans pushing on it. If I was on the licensing committee, I'd make it a condition of the Premier License.

Well if you were not trying to be funny, then your comment was stupid. People were physically hurt and you are calling them bitter over the result??
