just looking at the star those blue o neils footballs used are actually only training balls its a wonder the ref left the game be played with these balls.

They only used the blue one cause the couldn't get the match ball out of the ditch in time. The blue one was only used for 5 mins I'd say.

Ya you are correct, the home team (desmond league) are meant to supply 3 match balls but only had one, this was kicked form the grounds and training balls had to be used for a short period of the match.

is a young, fast striker or winger. played a couple of season with shannon hibs and left after the start of last season to play with a team in the lower divisions in town. signed with the boro this year and is obviously doing well to make the OT team..

good overall resly for the LDMC OT team..well done to all

Gentlemen, first time poster on this thread. A Cork AUL man.

Good to see the forum put to good use with healthy team selection debate.

As a player of limited ability, I cannot work out how any player can turn down a chance to play representative football. Baffling.I did not see the Star on Tuesday last, but, I believe there is some reference to Douglas Hall players not showing up for MSL game and bans to follow. I believe it is right.

West Cork league should be punished for not fielding a side.

Cork AUL beat Cork Business League 7-1 in a friendly last midweek.

Very tough in 3 team groups. Big advantage in my opinion for Cork having games 2 & 3. Very hard playing in first 2 games especially, if you need something from the 3rd one. A low scoring game is next best for the AUL in the MSL/Tipp game if it wasnt a draw.

Correction: It was D Hall senior players banned for 5 weeks for missing interpro tournament and their appeal to MFA failed.

The story goes that they told the club and the club failed to tell the MSL. Dunno - I have only bits of the story. These forums would be no good if it was all truth!!!
