Derry City manager Gavin Dykes is hoping that his team will continue to improve on Saturday night when they face high-flying Waterford United at the Brandywell while in the First Division, Kilkenny City take on Cobh Ramblers.

Derry made wholesale changes during the close season bringing in seven new players meaning their early-season form has been erratic though manager Dykes is hoping that recent improvements will start to yield results.

"I think we're getting better with every game. For the first 40 minutes against Longford, we were excellent, but goals change games and we paid for it. This is our first game at home in two weeks and I'm hoping to see a continued improvement," he said.
