Another late sickener sinks the Irish. Unlucky but these players look very promising.
    Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?

Extremely harsh on the boys - 4-1 was a result deserving of qualification.

To think their qualification hopes were dashed in stoppage time in the other game - it must be crushing for those boys.

Although, at the same time it'll be a great learning experience for them.

    Well done to them nevertheless!

We drew the first game in stoppage time too though.

Absolute heartbreak again, a common theme in Irish football. Proud effort from the Irish lads and a promising bunch for sure.

AlaskaFox, are you suggesting therefore we've been evened out by Lady Luck?

I disagree - we should always be owed an extra bit of luck just because of the 'Luck of the Irish' etc.

Denmark scored their second three minutes from time against us. Then George pops up in stoppage time. Against Greece, who pops up again near the end, George! So maybe we were lucky, but today's performance was fantastic.

Denmark beat Latvia with a very late goal.

Tough on the team not to get to finals.

Yep, you can never learn how to be a gallant loser early enough if you're Irish

Wonder are our Danish equivalents thinking that's retribution for McLoughlin in Windsor Park all those years ago?
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

I see Denmark are into the semis, with a 100% record.
