    e voting bites the bullet

pedkjjkjfl;kjflkdjfiorjgoijer must be a happy fellow now, looks like the end for mr. cullen as well !!!
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........

    Thumbs down

    De Paper

Never understood the reasons for rushing this. €52m Euro down the drain means Cullen has to go but we all know he won't. €4m on the dire advertising campign to convince not to be scared of buttons without any mention of the trustworthiness of the system!

What an absolute waste of money!

Get the proposal up and running again, this time with a paper trial, with the source code available to the public.

Eh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you giving out about those of us that were against this evoting system????

Paper trail, with a print out that you can check and then drop in a ballot box as per the manual system. Change the transfers so that they're proportional rather than random (which was one of Cullen's excuses for not having a paper trail). Don't bloody build the system in Access, and don't go on the say so of other countries that have a totally different voting system.
If you attack me with stupidity, I'll be forced to defend myself with sarcasm.

I have worked for a few years in embedded software, and can say that most 3rd - 4th years comp science/elec eng students could tell you the problems with this system. The worst thing about this, besides the arrogant pr*ck Cullen, is that he was given virtually the exact same report BEFORE the system was even bought. An all-party Oireachtas comittee questioned the people developing the system last, (I think), December. They came to pretty much the same conclusions as the commission, yet the FF members still cynically pushed it through.

You have got to hand to them they are a great lot at making an absolute joke of themselves. Do they do any research on anything before making wild statements and waste lots of taxpayers money?

The list at this stage (feel free to add):
    1. E-voting
    2. College Fees
    3. Stadium (Bertie Bowl)
    4. The Port Tunnel

I was. Would rather see the paper trial, but if there wasn't one I wouldn't be too bothered.

Could we add tribunals to that list, we dont have to list them individually though do we ??

What about that €15 million euro warehouse for horseys !! ALL tax payers money .... every single cent of it, none of their TAX-FREE money was spent on it.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
