Gave away a 5th minute penalty for handball v Norwich. Lucky for him Guzan saved it.
The errors that are noticed are the errors that are most costly usually, or to put it another way the most costly errors are the noticed errors unfortunately.
He went down in front of us holding his head in his hands. I'm sure it was disappointment but I'm also pretty sure it was a how did i let that happen "head in hands" moment also.

Played pretty well in the second half.
I would have a very different opinion in that I rate defensive errors according to the standards of defensive play.
Dunne's 'error' was on the margins, according to the testimony of many, so marginal as to not apportion blame to him.
There was a vastly more serious error, earlier in that game, but the difference was, the Swede blew the opportunity.
In my book, a defensive howler is a defensive howler, just because it didn't prove directly costly, doesn't reduce the error value.
And I would say, even if that early howler didn't prove immediately costly, it certainly appeared to ignite the Swedes.
That's what I thought. He showed real confidence and authority, dare I say leadership from what I saw. Nearly deflected a dangerous cross into his own goal but overall was very good.
Was very impressed with Clark today. Will big player for us, just needs the experience.
Always look on the bright side of life
Thankfully played no part in a 4-0 home defeat to Spurs in the League Cup. Vlaar and Baker both played 90 minutes in an otherwise very much weakened Villa side. Probably a good sign that Clark sat this one out.
Clark is back from the niggle that kept him out midweek and is playing in midfield against Man City.
Back in the starting XI for Villa today against United
As soon as I saw that goal I thought: The Doc will be on about that!
The doc never disappoints![]()
Doc, I wasn't bigging him up and I do think he was at fault. All I was saying was that I knew you'd be on about it. If you hadn't I probably would at the end of the game. I've always said he is error prone, but I still think he could be a consistently good player. I'm wondering will he be given a run at left back for Ireland. We're not good in that position and we are decently covered at CB even if our third best CB has played less football than me in the last 8 months![]()
Haven't seen in in-depth but I thought it looked like Vlaar and the lack of tracking in midfield left him exposed. Two free men to mark by himself.
