I have tried regularly this season to get info on Amos and Tidim and can't find any updates. Tidim is still at St Pauli, but as regards Amos ther is no info whatsoever!
Maybe only 2 strikers in the squad though with only 1 of those goals been scored by an out and out striker(Rafter).I guess McElaney has to come back into the squad for the elite phase. Brady might end up been a deep lying striker given his quality.Great to see him get a few months of injury free football hopefully he can get out on loan after christmas.

Amos was released from Wigan in May: http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php...mid=2121470997
I picked up the same vibes from Wigan forums, however, I still find it hard to believe that the likes of Dixon and Amos can just be thrown on the dungheap at such a young age after showing some ability in their teens.
It seems that the final game, against Serbia, is being played early (10am GMT). These lads have done well so far. It would be great if they could top the group.
Serbia U19 v Ireland U19
Note: I just had a look at the Group 10 accumulated stats and Serbia have a total of 39 fouls committed, as opposed to Ireland's 27, and they've received 4 yellow cards and 1 red. I think it's fair to say that they'll be quite a physical side.
Stats
Good Luck!

Seems like a dull 0-0 match so far.
Serbia go one up
71 min: GOAL!!! And guess who has popped up to score it after all their pressure? Luka Milunovic. It seemed inevitable, as Ireland were forced to defend deeper and deeper. The change in tactics from Serbian coach Tomislav Sivic looks to have worked wonders.
Lost 1-0, meaning Serbia top the group.
I can believe that stat alright.
Anyway fair play to the young lads. 2 wins out of 3 is respectable and something they can hopefully build on.

You'll NEVER beat the Irish.......you'll just draw with us instead!!!
Doolin Out!
From the Greenscene summary
The better side won overall, with 10 shots to our 7, and 9 corners to our 2. But you have to wonder if the loss of Shaw in the 25th minute to injury totally changed the match. Particularly as Doolin changed his formation to a more midfield-minded 4-5-1 after that. Was he looking for the draw from then on? After such a great opening match and performance against Luxembourg, I’m left a little disappointed after that performance. That said, I look forward to much more under 19 soccer in the spring when Ireland play in the Elite Stage of qualifying.
from the match text
88 min: A good chance for Brady comes to nothing as his shot from long range comes to nothing. At least Ireland are still playing the ball along the ground and out to the wingers.
So, at least Doolin set out the team win the game, playing 4 in midfield. And his game is not a template of the senior team.
It sounds like Serbia dominated the game, frustrating the Irish lads into persistent fouling - Ireland committed 25 fouls, in contrast to Serbia's 13.
Also, something that caught my attention from the GreenScene commentary was that Mark O'Brien came on as a midfielder. I thought he was a centre-half?
