I think if ye set up the OE account while your have your MSN Messenger open it'll import names from there. Not sure there's a way to import your Hotmail address book to OE though. If ye find out, let us know.

    From memory:

    In OE, go to tools;account;new.
There's a dropdown menu of type, POP etc, just choose hotmail.

then it asks for account id, which is your hotmail address (without @hotmail.com)
and password, which is your existing one.

I think that's pretty much it.

That just sets up the Hotmail account on it noby, which I eventually got instructions to do from Hotmail last week. It doesn't copy your address book with it though. In the contacts bar, it only had my MSN contacts.

Didn't find any way to do it brendy, ended up just entering them all again individually.

    Thanks for the help anyways.

    sorry, mis-read the question.
bit late now, but a friend told me you can go address book > tools > synchronize now, in OE.
    haven't tried it myself
