Yes, but we should easily catch you when we win all those games in hand.

thank you very much for beating Rovers, thank you very much, thank you very very very much.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

We sell moomoozelas in the club, less noisy and sound a bit like the cows behind the goals. Class.

The only Dundalk fireworks last night were produced by their players on the pitch.

I sincerely hope that was tongue in cheek, because it's an utterly, utterly stupid justification for throwing fireworks if so.

Yay on last night's result for us, even though I missed it. Missed the Fingal win as well. May just not bother turning up for the rest of the season.

The relegation race is getting very interesting now. Looks like Drogheda are gone, and it's hard to see Bray getting out of the play-offs even given their current form, but they could well win their play-off. That leaves Galway, UCD and Dundalk fighting for two safe spots; all three had excellent results last night. I don't think anyone would fancy playing Monaghan or Derry in the play-off final.

The gap is far to big for Bray or Drogheda to finish any higher than 9th. Still a long way to go yet and loads of points up for grabs so it aint over yet. To our advantage we still have to play UCD, Drogheda and Dundalk all at home, if that is an advantage? Soccerbot's prediction reckons we will finish 5 points clear of Drogheda and 13 points behind Galway.

I really wouldn't find playing Derry in the final if we got there, I'm saying that because we have played them in the cup twice this year and we were by far the better side both times, plus there form is not great goming into the final stages of the season. I think our lads would take what happened to us last year and use it to our advantage and with Jake Kelly in the form he is in at the moment i think we are capable of beating anyone.

The side finishing 8th should not be involved in relegation. Most leagues have 3/18 or 3/20 being involved in a relegation scrap, that's about 15%. 15% equates to 1 and a half places, one (10th) should be straight relegation and the half (9th) a play-off with a Division One side.

In the cold light of day...

Dundalk fans: Do you not realise you've helped Bohs? Can you handle that on your conscience?

SkStu: Do you not realise you were cheering for Dundalk..think about that for a moment - is that how bad things have become - I mean, Dundalk!

Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.

Forget Bohs or anyone else, it was 3 points for us to stay away from the relegation zone

Jesus, what a night...great performance from us...totally deserved.Hard to believe we have beaten Rovers 3 times this year yet struggled so badly for such a long period.

Sums up why we all keep going though...there is no better feeling than watching your team produce a performance like that...you cannot possibly get the same buzz watching a foreign team on Sky Sports.

Nursing a bit of a hangover here in work...but well worth the pain!!!!
Only another 9 titles till Drogheda become pride of county louth!!!

We needed the three points as we were getting very close to the relegation sramble. Then we had the incentive of showing your number 11 that he is a liar and a cheat.

If you have asked me earlier this season whether I would prefer Bohs or Rovers to win the title, I probably would have said Rovers.

However, the incessant bragging, gloating, and showboating that a large number of your fans have engaged in over the last few months have made me disinterested as to who wins.

Yes yes yes and the players get bonuses and everyone goes home happy having beaten the nasty Rovers etc etc, but also helping Bohs...sheesh..

We only hate them slightly less than we hate you lot. If it's any consolation we'll beat them in Dalymount last game of the season but I expect Rovers to have the league wrapped up by then.

Surely you won't want to gift a league winner's medal to Fenn?

Last night's results removed the stomach churning possibility of Rovers winning the league in Belfield too thankfully!
