why are you slagging my fellow Glaswegian? did you not see the assist he created for Keane? or the the corner he made for the first goal with a dazzling piece of magic? and the boy is still not match fit. you could see near the end of the game he was fecked after running up and down that wing all day trying to help '' Killer '' out.

A win is a win is a win, was better than Russia's robbery against them on Friday!

Ah we stopped caring in the last 20. Was screaming at my laptop for them to stop passing amongst the back 4. Was that a Trap decision or them just being boring? Have to say Gibson played the nicest passes in the game to be fair to him. Much more inspiring than Whelan/Green. Great game from Killer, thought he deserved MotM. Don't think Doyle had his best game, seems to be the easy option for MotM sometimes...

6 points, Russia coming needing a result, Macedonia already out. I'd have bitten your arm off for that a week ago. They were dreadful but with their play-acting and the ref buying it all (how was that not a penalty? That's two we should have had now...surely to God there's some luck coming our way) impossible to build momentum.

Everything's grand, we'll know more after Russia. The game in Slovakia is massive, if we beat Russia we'll be going to take control of the group, lose or draw and we'll be going to stay in touch. It's the key for us - Dunne CANNOT get booked against Russia, it was sinful to get that stupid yellow. That's my my only concern from tonight.

We won't qualify with Green & Whelan in central midfield.

Need to get McCarthy in there a.n.other.

That sums up my chief worries. I didn't catch the game on Friday, but from what I read, and what I just saw, the midfield is a vacuum. McGeady in the second half was like a small child you would take to a football game - running around, not paying attention to what is going on in the game, going where you said he shouldn't, tagging around with other small children who are wearing the wrong colour shirts, annoying you to go to the toilet the minute that it looks like a penalty might be given. He had a moment or two, but how many did he waste. Against better oppostion, a moment or two is all you will get. He can play, but he needs to really start doing that next time around.

Lawrence wasn't dreadful, but didn't offer anything really and that is why he is supposed to be in there. Glen Whelan is not the man you expect to create things, but is a hard working Killer style player. Gibson, not much different as replacement, but the game was already wound down. Green, to be kind, I don't remember if he was playing in this one or not.

The best midfielder we had in the second half was probably Killer...

That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Whelan is fine, Green is not good enough. If Dunne stays clean, i hope he gets a yellow in the match before Andorra away to be honest

As I say, capable of so much which is why it's frustrating to watchi himrun up blind alleys and give it away, the one 2 and final ball for Keane's goal was excellent, more of that and less of the headless stuff and maybe I'll become a convert!

small child? have some respect mate this boy has taken dogs abuse up here for picking Ireland over Scotland which his dad told him not to do, McGeady is your only flair player in the team as far as I can see. yes his delivery is questionable but he can see a pass and he can leave people for dead in the blink of an eye. what a ball for Robbie.

Must be said.. Duff was sorely sorely missed tonight. I think there was another 2 goals at least if he was on

The much maligned Andrews will improve midfield. I've yet to go through the reaction from others above, but I thought that was a perfectly respectable performance myself. The key was that when we needed to score (at 0-0 and 2-1) we scored without too much fuss. Their goal was a great shot and I can't help thinking that against Russia or another good team Dunne would have headed that ball sideways. Instead I felt that at 2-0 he was trying to keep the ball in play for us to build on the knock down. Easy mistake to make.

Lawrence, Doyle, Keane, SSL, Kilbane & O'Shea all put in very good shifts IMHO. McGeady was far from perfect but showed he's got something about him. I'd fear for KK against a better team but that's a nucleus of strong players that can grind results against good teams. Plus Duff of course.

I'm not too fussed about Dunne's yellow -as long as it's JO'S that fills in at CB and Kelly at RB if he gets another.

Was Kelly on for JO'S instead of McShane telling?

The positive for me was Kelly coming on. Not that he made such an impact, but the value of having a dedicated full back waiting on the wings to receive the ball in their half, allowing Lawrence more freedom, is invaluable. Kelly's deliveries weren't great but offensively he looks the part more than O'Shea.

    No just an objective view

Very much so Stutts. Trap has always had his first choice subs and looks like Kelly has made that spot. Hope it stays that way, his crossing was poor but everything else was supreme to McShane in every way. Made some lovely moves.

He's a natural full back. Square peg in a square hole. Seemples.

Killers goal reminded me of Keane's goals in the semi final of the European Cup.

I missed some of the second half (trouble with streams among other things), but what I saw of Kelly amounted to a couple of terrible crosses. I though O'Shea looked the part at right back. I just wish we had two of him.

And no, I never thought I'd write that.

the boy is a showboater mate he always tries to beat his man twice over when he's one on one, hes always done it for Celtic will probably do it for Spartak Moscow now hes hes the SP hell but even my english mate said tonight hes your only decent player. I think his play created all 3 goals? if not I think he made at least 2 goals just by running at dudes.
