They could well do so. this could be the best thing to happen them in their quest for the FAI.Can't help noticing all the 2-4am posts - after drowning their sorrows.
St.Michaels were very good and Pike will never play as bad I think. If both get past the semi's it will not be a 5-1 scoreline to either.

The four semi-finalists in the F.A.I. Junior Cup were playing in the second round of the F.A.I. Senior Cup this week-end. New Ross Celtic travelled to Rockmount and beat the high-flying Munster Senior League side by 4-1. Sherriff Utd travelled to another Munster Senior League side, College Corinthians, and won 1-0. Pike Rovers travelled to another top Munster Senior League side, Avondale Utd, and drew 1-1. St.Michaels Tipperary were the only casualties as they went down at home to Leinster Senior League kingpins, Crumlin Utd, by 2-0. The third round draw will include the Airtricity League teams.

Good luck to all 4 sides left in the competition. I'm gonna go for a Pike/St.Michaels double and hopefully make it an all Munster final.

I heard St Micks could've been 3/4 up at half time, but that New Ross were well on top in 2nd half and deservedly equalised, New Ross had a man sent off in the 90th minute.

I was at the game and Longshanks does a fair summary above. St Michaels much the better in the first half but Celtic could have won it in the second half and scored a great goal. Down to 10 men it was always going to be tough in extra time against a team of St Michaels quality. A great run for Celtic this year in the competition and hopefully the first of many. Never got the credit they deserved but St Michaels know they were in a game today. Best of luck to them in the final and roll on North End on Wednesday for Celtic with the 3rd round of the FAI Senior Cup still to come. Well done lads and hard luck today!

there is sure to be alot of crap spoken about the final before it happens, posts like the one you responded to may not be from real pike fans so could be taken with a pinch of salt.
I'm sure no real fans will will be giving st micks anything but the respect they deserve and rightly so after the munster junior result. The fai offers them a chance to redeem themselves and prove it was an off day that day but the game should be a cracker and anything can happen in a one off as was already proven
