Aren't ballymun playing Usher Celtic? Not very familiar with the Dublin teams but I know Ballymun are consistently very good. Usher Celtic were very good up to a few years ago. Are they still a good side? Is Ballymun/Usher the Dublin tie of the round?

apologies! they are due to play usher celtic in the first round, that probably is the tie of that round and should they win that the tie of the second round would be the meeting of ballymun and shangan

Killester are the best team in Dublin at the minute, having won their 1st 5 league games.Id say the only 2 Dublin teams that can win the Junior Cup are Killester or Ballymun. After these 2 there are maybe 3 or 4 who would bexpect to go close-Sheriff YC,St Kevins,St Pauls and WFTA,all AUL Premier A teams.Killester can go all the way this season I reckon.Any betting yet,I wouldnt mind backing them at 14s.

    Agreed.

Knocklisheen looks good from far away but on close inspection its very bobbly. Parkville are very hit and miss in division 3b and have been beaten a couple of times so can't see them standing a chance against a good premier team.

On a side note how are Knockainey looking this season? Our A team have them and are playing in 3b, are currently top of the table and are doing well without performing extremely well yet. How do ye think they'll fair against Knockainey?

Parkville have some handy players but whether they have the fitness to match Carew Park over 90 minutes will be crucial. I'd fancy Carew Park to come through. Athlunkard v Aisling will be a good game, Athlunkard top of 1B and Aisling down around the bottom of the Premier, could be an upset there

WFTA played against Carrick United last year and i was very impressed they passed the ball better than any junior side ive seen in the last few years Carrick scraped a win but very much against the run of play. if they kept the same squad they could go very close!

wfta are stronger this year than last as well david somers has gone back to them after a spell at tolka, sherrif are a good side also as are kevins from the aul with 3 or 4 junior internationals in their ranks, from the leinster senior league junior section, crumlin will be quite strong as will cherry orchard, bluebell and mount merrion
