and who would this be?
Went to the game yesterday and as our luck would have it we left it after us.I don't think we have played that badly at home this season when you consider the problems Mike has had getting a squad together for this campaign.Ollie Keogh was one of our better players on the day but CP seems to be getting worse by the game, he didn't seem to look all that interested yesterday, Rossi looks like he needs games. One of the few good points from the game was at least we kept a clean sheet.I was dissappointed though with the small turnout at the game.Weather good, no rugby on accross town, hopefully we'll get a good crowd for the game against Waaaaterford in the cup.
Also apparently Limerick Fc have signed The Desmond League "Player of the Year" elect.Don't know when he will be arriving but this guy is talented, he's young and has bags of potential hopefully he will be a good signing fingers crossed.......
and who would this be?
I must admit that Can't Pass O'Brien really bugged me on Saturday. His whole attitude stunk. He has an incredible arrogance towards the other players best seen when he tried to push one of the Limerick lads off the ball only to lose the ball over the touchline. What was his reaction? to throw his hands up and complain about the player. Someone shouted to send him back to Cork, and I am willing to pay for his train ticket if anyone can put it in motion....![]()

Westside he wouldn't be from Abbeyfeale would he?Originally Posted by Westside
If he's from abbey its probably Paul Doherty because he's their best player by far. He's very young though, but a very good prospect all the same. Was on the Desmonds Oscar Traynor team this year. Very nice lad too.
Come on Westside, reveal all![]()
I don't want to say who he is on this service but it is not the guy from Abbeyfeale, if you read one of my threads lask week you would have seen me mention a guy who has scored 26 goals from midfield for his club this season. As the Desmond league season is not finished yet it would be inproper of me to say anymore, it would be unfair to his club and Limerick Fc.He has been at Limericks last two home matches and is good friends with Finny(think they go to college together). Also if you believe that Paul Doherty will get the player of the year award ahead of this guy then you haven't been to many desmond league matches this season. The only way he will get it ahead of (Mr.X) is if Frank Nelligan gives it to him, which would be typical of him as he is from Abbeyfeale.
not crazy about him then? he's a good player but he does try and do it all himself too muchOriginally Posted by deise deserter
No, the only reason I mentioned Doherty is because someone asked if this player is from Abbeyfeale, and Doherty is the only one remotely good enough that would spring to mind from Abbey. Regards Nelligan, in fairness to him he is very fair when it comes to coverage of the DL, awards etc and I doubt if he would give an award in favour of one of his own club menOriginally Posted by Westside
