I think a lot more people will be tempted to go to games if they were to make the move, I hope it does go through for Limerick. There has not been a word since the deadline.
Better reply here I guess,
They were hoping to move to the market's field but it's to go to public tender:

Hopefully there will be more news soon
Switch to hummell I say. The Cork and Derry jerseys where nice and the fans seemed to have them by the start of the season. They also have them in short sleeve which helps. Umbro while I like their stuff seem to be a waste of time and Linerick aren't the only team to have trouble waiting for kits.
Hummell would be great, Puma even better! but if the club is getting the best deal from Umbro then they'll stick with them.
Problem is though the lack of jerseys around town, get a nice top for sale and lads will buy them, we wont shift truck loads ill admit but just a few around town would raise the profile of the club.

jaorta, Monkfish, Jofspring and L37Ultra, do any of ye have any update on the Market's Field situation?
Nope, bids have been made but nothing new the last few weeks.
No still no news but in staying in line with being way off topic a jersey like the one below with white instead of grey would be the job, especially in short sleeve. I know loads of people that have wanted to buy jerseys but have been put off by the long sleeve baggy looking jerseys. I'm sure Cork and Derry must be getting a decent deal. I know they shift a lot more jerseys than us but i think with a nice kit we would sell our fair share also. Whats the price of the current jersey? Cork looking for €53 and Derry something similar. I'd definitely pay that kind of money for a decent jersey. €55-€60 at most.

I was looking through the Hummel website before and saw this jersey. It's nice. It's the same as the Cork jerseys this year. They opted to take the jersey out of the catalogue (with the grey parts on the sleeves) rather than have a custom jersey designed. Cork don't have a custom jersey, despite the fact they have a sponsorship deal with Hummel.
Unfortunately, Umbro don't have a short sleeve jersey in their catalogue.
Issues around custom jerseys (with any company) include minimum order numbers, turn-around time, product life cycle, etc... No matter what kit supplier you go with, they all have very similar models.
AFAIK, the sponsorship deal with Umbro is excellent as far as the playing and training gear for the teams/players are concerned.
As you know, JOF, the club looked into having a custom jersey made with Umbro in 2008, but it didn't work out. Unfortunately, our circumstances have changed little in the mean time.
I think everyone involved in the club would like to have a custom jersey.
This year has been the first time in quite a while that we have had a national brand on the front of our jersey. Given how well the team has done and how close we came to making the play-offs, I think it will be easier to get an improved sponsorship deal for 2011 (or better still, a 2-year deal). If such a deal is struck early enough, then that could ease the path to getting a custom jersey made.
Fight the good fight!

The Limerick FC jerseys cost €50 for adults and €40 for kids sizes.
You can see them here.

that jersey is nice jof ... better then umbro jerseys ... new kit next season ....
I see the Limerick Post says that Dick O'Sullivan chairman of Board na gCon told Pat O'Sullivan that everything possible would be done to assist the club.
Guess Limerick FC are the favourites for Markets Field and there were probably no other bid.
What are Board na gCon waiting for, who else could be our competition
Place is in an awful state at the moment lads. All the buildings were borded up and the grass let overgrow. They took out a lot of stuff like the turnstyles(last used in 1860) cos they were needed in other stadiumswhatever POS offered them he should knock it back a further 300,000 for the clean up job which we would inherit if we get in there
True its probably in a state but i still think Limerick need to get something in their posession that has the potential to get work done to it rather than have nothing at all. Would be interesting to see what kind of prices would come in from builders looking to do the job. Potential their to get a great deal and possibly grants?
Dont worry lads, the people of Limerick will come out and land a hand in fixing the place up.............
They wouldnt help a saint build his church.![]()
