    Question LOI Mobile Applications

Does anyone know if any LOI (or LOI footie related) Mobile Applications out there?
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

MariborKev was looking to develop one. I don't know if that went anywhere. The relevant thread is here.

Beyond that, I don't know of any.
You can't spell failure without FAI

There was one of the lads at Bohs who was putting an iPhone one together - saw screenshots of it - looked good.

Saying that - I could always resurrect what I was working on (a general League one which included maps to grounds, club info, etc.) - and finish it off (currently got a bit of a holiday until I start University next month)
    Kom Igen, FCK...

If there was an app developed, what would you like to see in it? More importantly where would it pull the information from? It would need to have a league table, cup details, player transfers, live scores. Is there a reliable source for this info and would that source mind the data being used? Is this something that should involve the FAI?

Would it be good to start with just a mobile theme/skin for LOI? You could see have many people would be interested, what kind of uptake would be there. Obviously if it has an appeal to Irish football/Irish National Team fans then it will be more popular.

There were a few people interested, more on the content on design end.

I started doing an Android DCFC one, but just haven't had the time to progress it much to be honest.

    The League were/are considering one.

*****ing about an app myself. What would one want?
I have a clubs page; with a page of news, fixtures, results, and infor for each club.
I have a Premier League and FD page, with tables fixtures and results.
And then I have one apiece for the FAI and EA Cup.
Am I missing anything or would anyone like to see anything?

I reckon it would need to be fairly good straight off the bat or people just wont use it. I'd say put in as much as you can to start off with, you can be tweaking it as you go along then.

I've always thought extratime.ie should have an app or even a mobile version of the site. The content is great but it can be awkward enough to navigate on the phone.

I'll try whip up a prototype app and see how it goes before adding more teams/ info etc.

What kind of Info would be needed?

Teams, Squads, Fixtures, Results, News, Tables??

BTW a decent live score app (for the iphone) is the betscores one. Includes all LOI scorers, tables etc.

If its as good as their website, there's still very much a point in having an alternative

Hopefully there's a symbian version of any LOI app for the Nokia 5800 and not just an iphone one.
