Hope there's a Bohs rep there for him to celebrate in front of when he wins.

Could Liverpool's striker problem be solved? James Bane thinks so. 'Roy Hodgson has just been spotted at Tallaght Stadium clutching a Liverpool jersey with 'Twigg 7' on the back.' Well James, I don't want to call you a liar, but....I can't think of any other way to end that sentence. Still, Twiggy would probably be a better option than Carlton Cole. Petter Synnott, meanwhile reckons the Reds may have competition and says: 'Hibs have offered £80,000 for Gary Twigg, Rovers have asked for an increased offer.'
Speaking of Twigg (who is far too good for Hibs by the way), the Scottish striker should find out if his appeal against a daft two-match suspension from the FAI is successful or not today.

Twigg won his appeal, totally exonorated. I hope he takes out his frustration on our western buddies on friday.

Absolutely the right decision, hopefully the FAI Observer is sanctioned for this farce

    Common sense prevails.

Incidentally, was reading the Bohs forum and somebody suggested that Twigg be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law should he celebrate in front of opposition fans again.

Would you expect anything less from those numpties, while their own manager can slag off who he likes without any comment from them

Delighted to see that common sense has prevailed and that all players will be free to continue celebrating goals without the worry of a ban coming via the match delegate.

Let the ref look after on the pitch, and leave the match delegate to count the number of prawns in the sambos etc!

Is the "FAI Observer" an actual referee? Always wondered that.

    No they're not.

A lot of them are those guys who wear suits and are in charge of the stewards at internationals and other FAI run matches. You'll usually see them talking into microphones up their sleeves, counteracting each others orders. A lot of them come from junior football clubs.

Not quite as bad as the refereee assessors who also cream the expenses at LOI matches.

From which we're wakened by a friendly nudge
Of our bedfellow Death, and cry: "O fudge!"

Is it standard practice for you to use one persons post to generalise the opinions of all?

Plenty of "numpties" with "numptyish" opinions on every forum.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Was it the disciplinary committee who handed down this ban? Did Shams appeal to the same crowd?

In fairness, a 3 page thread about a "stoneybatter hoops" flag takes numptyism to a whole new level.
And "el cuervo" may know where the owner of that flag lives, but he certainly wouldn't have the balls to walk up to either of them and say anything about it.

As opposed to two separate threads getting well and truly giddy over some mythical pipe-laying causing a League game to be moved to another ground?

That's setting the numpty bar mightily high dear...

The point of an in joke is that you aren't likely to get it if you aren't in on it. But you'll get that from obsessing about what's on other fans forums.

Just like the non in-Joke some of your lot warned against not falling for!!(the twigg ban)! Now I'm all for a wind up as much as the next bloke but surely falling for a real "wind up" is not as bad as falling for a non existent one??

As has already been said on your "in joke" is that the last laugh was on yourselves as the scenario painted was quite believeable considering the King-sized numptys you have running your club.If you believed people fell for OTT reactions such as hunger strikes among other things then the delusion that we all thought has left Dalymount after the TNS game is alive and well.

The fact that some of your own fans fell for it seems also to have been lost on the chosen few who deem Rovers fans to be "stupid hooped fools"(paraphrase!) but your own non-members ,what, just normal stupid fools???

One of the main things about being an in joke is that it's a joke in the first place. Not something that even after you find out, you still find plausible.
