Another 2 game ban coming for Twigg after last night.... clearly ran towards the UCD fans after scoring. And for Dan Murray who also ran towards the UCD fans.

Dan Murray even clenched his fist whilst celebrating in the UCD fans section of the ground. Will we be able to field a side by the end of the season?

As a rule of thumb, I don't think referencing The Sun backs up your argument.

Dreadful article too. "Twigg ran to the corner where the visiting support was situated" - well, no; he was in that corner anyway. It's not like he ran 50 yards to do it. And at the start the claim is that the two match ban is "for celebrating in front of Bohemian fans", but later it says the ban is "for allegedly making a gesture to Bohs supporters", which is different entirely.

Who said anything about backing up any arguments?

It's just an example of how this is being reported...

I think he should get a further ban for poking Keely right in the eye.

    Or maybe a medal.

this ban is extremely harsh compared to some of the stuff i have seen from other players over the years.

If he did give the two finger salute then it might be warranted for crass stupidity alone. The way he celebrated was antagonistic enough (as that is what he was trying to do) and didnt need the extras.

Eoin Hand fell just short of calling him a rapist on MNS at the time.

    No the Rovers match.
Keeley says in his article that Rovers won 2-1

Ya he used to get the worst of abuse from the old shed.
Who ever was the unfortunate lad that was ever behind Keely going through the tunnel was usually saturated in spit.

If twigg is suspended for that then Boco should have been suspended a few weeks ago when Sligo played us. He ran over and celebrated right in front of the Bray section at the edge of the pitch. He was only on the pitch and had no stick or reason to do this. Very bad form.

Is that the suggestion? I was 'on the receiving end' but to be fair I cannot remember seeing any gesture or fingered salute. I may have missed it as I was most probably voicing my displeasure at the individual and making assertions about his legitimacy but I havent heard anyone else say so either.

BTW Con Murphy would want to be very careful with what he is saying re the Observer. He really should keep his own club affiliations out of everyting he writes or he risks becoming even more irrelevant and forgettable than he already is.
