Link. CSKA may have played a banger against Cliftonville in Belfast, so that'd be a 3-0 walkover win for Cliftonville, or 3-3 on aggregate. Leeds v Stuttgart (?) in around 92 is the only time I remember something like that happening; they replayed in Monaco I think. CKSA have drawn TNS in the next round, so if they were expelled, it'd be Cliftonville v TNS for a place in the group stages!
Article also notes Cliftonville didn't make any appeal within the 24 hour deadline.
Seems very odd that whether Cliftonville had complained would make any difference. How could they possibly have known? Should clubs lob in a protest after every game they lose just on the off chance?
Extremely unlikely that anything will come from this. However the question had to be asked especially since there appears to have been a criminal act committed in the signing of forms.
