Just after coming on as a sub due to an injury! Exeter one down.
Jimmy on the bench for Exeter for tonights Carling Cup tie against Liverpool. Live on Sky Sports.
Just after coming on as a sub due to an injury! Exeter one down.
Didn't control the first pass to him but has laid off the next two nicely, Got a corner as a result from the first. Seems to be playing advanced in midfield in a 4-5-1. Another pass laid off well.
Overhit the next pass but then used two more well. Doesn't let the ball get away from him which is good to see.
Also running around like a rabbit. Looks very fit. But hasn't put in a tackle yet.
Nearly got on the end of a through-ball there.
Half-time, one-nil Liverpool. Got to say, very impressed with Jimmy. Looks best user of the ball in the middle third for Exeter and holds the ball in very well. Looks very mobile. Not able to close down any Pool players on the ball, however. Overall, can see why Exeter have given him a contract.
Two-nil Liverpool. Jimmy not really got on the ball so far in second half.
Three nil now. One way traffic.
JonJo Shelvey now on for Liverpool who has, of course, played against Jimmy before.
Has now gone wide right with couple of good touches but wouldn't have the pace to take on any Liverpool full-back. 3-1 to Pool now after Exeter penalty.
Final score, 3-1. Impressive by Jimmy in first half but died away in second as Liverpool's passing took over and Exeter were chasing shadows. Got brushed off the ball a few times and wouldn't yet be in the same league in regard to upper body strength, etc. But could well see him feature in Exeter's first team squad again.
Think Exeter were also interested in Gary Sheahan at one stage as they had him over once or twice.
Jimmy came on today as a sub v Charlton

And Miles To Go Before We Sleep
Jimmy came on as an injury-time sub in Exeter's 2-2 draw away to Yeovil on Saturday. Think it's his second League appearance.
Scored in mid week game for the reserves but he does not seem to be getting into first team squad as regularly as he was. Could be interesting to see what the future holds?

Jimmy now appears to have been let go by Exeter. Probably not much of a surprise as he hasn't featured at all recently in the first team panel. The Exeter website also mentions Kwame Ampadu as the U18 coach at Exeter and that Steve Perryman has had heart surgery in last few days.
Exeter City website today (Monday) now reporting that discussions are ongoing with Jimmy Keohane in relation to next year. John O'Flynn stated to be in same position.
Exeter City website has confirmed that Jimmy Keohane has got another year's contract with the club for next season in Division II. Needs to break into the team and keep a place on a regular basis, I think.
Jimmy played I belive four games pre season scored in three and has been on the bench for the last three games (I think) hopefully he will start to get some game time
