    Greg Bolger

Three match ban apparently. One served against Galway, the other two mid-way through August. So he should be back for Dundalk on Friday.

What a shambolic way of doing things.

It's often like that even in the bigger leagues, I think. A red card means an automatic ban in the next game after the red; any extension has to wait until the disciplinary committee meet.

(And that's not to say the FAI banning system isn't shambolic; "Player banned from the seventh match of the season" is just utterly illogical as far as I can see)

Its an automatic ban in the next game in the competition the card was received (unless you're out of the competition in whcih case its next competitive)

Extra games are decided at the next disciplinary hearing and players and clubs have a period of time to appeal it. (They don't announce this, they just inform the club). Its only after the appeals are heard that the official announcements are made

It takes a while to do but its probably the right thing to do. I'd guess he'll miss our game.
