Going to be the usual tight finish to this division, always interesting when the midweek matches start again.

Much deserved win for Caherconlish. Very hard working team, and very difficult to break down. Dromore had very few opportunities, the small few only resulting from stupid mistakes at the back.
Pitch out there is very poor, but it suits them down to the ground as they are so compact, and play a long ball game.

Game started off very evenly, until Caherconlish struck a screamer of a free kick. Worthy of the Premier.
Dromore heads dropped and suddenly 'lish looked very dangerous, and the big fella 'Rooney' who came on caused a lot of problems.

No complaints about the scoreline. The referee on the other hand was terrible. The game was fairly physical but became very dirty as bad challenges flew in from both teams, only because the referee was allowing them. One yellow card shown when there should have been several yellows and probably reds for both teams.

Good to see such a good chase for Promotion, unlike the 2 horse leagues above us

Between players missing due to injury, its been a struggle to get a full strength team together.
Only few times it has happened seems to be Cup games i.e. Pike & Prospect matches. Although in fairness it was a close to full strength team v Herbertstown.

Seems to be a lot less pressure when Cup matches being played...and players maybe playing better as a result.
When it comes to the league, there seems to be a panic, cos so many games have been lost by the odd goal, and there's a realisation that if points arent picked up soon, it will be the 3rd relegation for Dromore in 3 seasons.

I would think it's a long time since Dromore were as low as 2A? They still have a good chance of avoiding the drop though, Murroe, Bruff and Herbertstown still in danger

That or the players themselves thought they were too good for the club.

What happened up in cals is a new manager came in and he hadnt a clue ,the players werent happy so a few left and then in january most of them left.
Emmet and the lads done a great job over the years and its bad to see the club going the way it is and hopefully next year they can go back to being good again.

After weeks at the top Ack ville and Caherconlish seem to be losing ground on those teams around them.Pike and Knockainey seen likely for first and second, what a great league this is,big game between pike and caherconlish thur night,if pike get the win it will surely sink any hope the lish have of playing in 1A next season
