have to say pike have a good chance of promotion this year they have a big squad with one or two addittions this week i wouldnt rule them out as they are still around the top of the table i also fancey cappamore to go up
Herberstown put up good showing against corbally in Lawson cup scoring 3 goals, how are they near bottom of this division?
Eddie lee is good signing..very tough league and cappamore, atlunkard, caherconlish, knockainey and pike all in the running...i wouldnt rule out hospital yet..is it only one team bein relegated?.
How on Earth have 1B games survived for tomorrow?
Example - Cappamore V Herbertstown. This game was called off 3 weeks ago as Cappamore's pitch was frozen. What have the LDMC done? Fixed the game for tomorrow when it is COLDER! You couldn't make it up! To be fair neither clubs pitch will be playable tomorrow but now everyone has to drive on crazy icy conditions to get there for a referee to get a few quid to call the game off.
It does not make sense.
its total madness, people can get injured travelling in this weather, the ldmc should think about that, its not just about a pitch been playable its about getting to the pitch to in this weather, it minus 1 at the moment and wind chill is minus 4, the ldmc really need to think things out and take peoples safety into consideration
Not the most enjoyable year for cals!! hell of a lot going on down there with management, players leaving and their poor form. I hear jeff roche, eddy+wayne lee have left along with dave fitzmaurice and jeff mac. They also have cescent players like johny lyne and darren dinneen who dont turn up...fighting a lost battle it seems and it looks like they are destined for 2a. All these players that have gone were prob there better players...have they any good players left at the club willing to stick out the year with them?
Promotion race is very close this year too with 4 maybe 5 teams all having good seasons. Its goin to be a great run in for top spot this year i think. Personally i think knock have a great chance! So long as pike win nothing then ill be happy :P
The LDMC either don't care about peoples safety or are just too stupid to think things through..............they'll all be tucked up in front of the fire, while players, officials, fans, etc will all be out travelling the roads for a game that may or may not (in most cases wont) be on..............
It's simple really.............In weather like this, either arrange the games for afternoon kick offs (1pm, 2pm or 3pm) to allow pitches and roads to thaw (and have some chance of games going ahead and also allowing for safer travel) or else call a blanket postponment the day before (making a call before 3pm on a Saturday) by looking at the weather forecast (which would then give players, officials and supporters the benefit of 2 things..................1. Having a social night out with friends and family on a Saturday night & 2. Having an extra few hours in bed on a day off, especially after working all week)......................but, its the LDMC and they just won't change unfortunatly.

everything that could go wrong has gone wrong this season but the best player at the club by a mile jamie mcmahon is stil here and weve 20 players turning up regularly with our b team who are willing to help our a team stay up this season very close at the bottom so wouldnt rule us out just yet
i hope cals can stay up there Bteam will help out there is at least 4-5 lads that shouldn be down that far as regards playing ball Kerley lad from weston there left back kelly and they have mikey kelly also..watched them against mungret whilce the wembly match an even there keeper is very good these lads would be great aditions
to be honest imo alot of our lads would and should be playin at that level rather than 4a but there were problems within the club that prevented it happening which are sorted now i honestly think with we can keep our a team up weve at least 6 players capable of playing in 1b comfortably and other young lads that arnt too far off it just need to survive this season and see where that leaves us
hasnt happened all last season or so far this year so unlikely that will be a problem
