    Munster FAI-esque **** Up

    Munster ERC tickets

If the FAI cocked up like this they'd be slated for weeks!

The Leinster Branch are not blameless here. The ERC gave them 10,500 tickets in order to distribute them to Dublin based Munster supporters. There was to be a general sale today and tomorrow. Instead over the weekend the Leinster Branch sent out an email to all their members informing them to call a "hotline" to pre-book their tickets. After this pre-booking only a "limited number" of tickets are remaining for general sale.

Does anyone else smell a corporate scam?

They did get what they asked for (20,000) but in their nativity they let and additional 10,500 be distributed by the Leinster Branch. If they had of asked for 30,000 they would have got it.

I think they feared they'd have a distribution problem if they took too many.
It was a good bit of business by Leinster to take up the remaining tickets, knowing full well that the exiles would buy them.

The real problem was allowing people to buy 6 tickets.
Usually what happens in that case though is that people have more than they need.
They touts will have a field-day with this one.

    Sly Leinster

Heard ERC guy on radio saying they asked clubs/provinces/districts before 1/4 finals how much they'd want for semi-final if they got through. Munster only asked for 20k which seems fatal flaw. Leinster were only asked cos ERC wanted to ensure would sell as many tickets as possible.

Leinster should have given up the vast majority of their allocation to Munster. 6 tickets per person just asking for ticket touting.

Must have been 500 people in queue outside Elverys on Stephens Green this morning.
