Poor defensive performance from Limerick in first half resulted in Wexford getting all three points in very eventful match in Ferrycarrig tonight. Wexford started four-five-one with Packie, Wolfie, Anto, Aidan, Hopper, Dean, Shane, Greg Yelverton (debut), Jimmy, Gary wide left and Danny up front on his own. Game started quiet enough until Shane, who was excellent, got a shot away which the Limerick keeper could only knock away for a corner. Limerick then hit the post from a free-kick and Packie had to get down to the far post to keep a header out. Wexford then went ahead when Gary cut in from the left and his shot fell to Jimmy in the box who turned and slotted it away. Second goal came again from Gary who again cut in from the left and his shot hit a Limerick defender's hand for a harsh enough penalty. Shane tucked it away top left giving the keeper no chance. However, Limerick replied immediately with a header from a corner and generally Limerick threatened all night in the air as we are not the biggest side at the moment. However, Shane restored the two goal advantage with a fantastic shot from 35 yards which bounced on the keeper's dive and really gave him no chance. Deano than brought it to four-one when Limerick couldn't clear another ball in the box and he tucked it past the keeper. Four-one to Wexford at half-time.

Limerick brought it to four-two immediately at the start of the second half when a break down the left and a cross found Stephen O'Flynn all on his own in the box and he nodded it past Packie. Limerick then pressed but game seemed settled when Peter White got a straight red for a hack on Gary and Jimmy had a good shot which hit the post and Shane had a shot which whistled just wide. However, Limerick brought it back to four-three just on the ninety minutes when they won another two headers in the box, and scored. Limerick's second red game then came from a deliberate handball in Wexford's penalty area and, just at the end, Gary ran from his own half to get the goal his performance deserved for a five-three final score.

Muzzi came on for Danny who went off injured midway through the second half while late subs. were Gareth McCurtain and, I think, John Byrne (?). Greg Yelverton came off towards the end and looks a neat passer in midfield and a useful addition.

The player who came on last was Shane Cullen useful young player from Ferrybank in Waterford and was out with the 20's today looks like a neat passer and can read a game well

That's not Shane Nolan, is it Y4E?
One of twins we had training with our 20s, his brother Brian stayed here, Shane went to the Youths as he'd get senior football. Both are Eddie Nolan's brothers too I think.
Or don't tell me we've lost two to ye this year!

Could be Nolan maybe i mis heard quiet possible i am 100% either way to be honest but when I find out I let you know
