FIFTY MILLION for Doyle? He's not worth ten million! Great player but c'mon now!
Ten million is about right for Stephen Ireland. I'd love to see him at Sunderland and that's actually where I think he'll wind up.
Today's latest 'rumours':
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has admitted it will take a £50m offer to persuade him to sell star striker Kevin Doyle.
"Look, if Manchester United come in and offer the club £50m and give him 200 grand a week, I can't keep him," said McCarthy.
"Doyle will be a player for us unless someone comes in offering the earth, moon and stars for him." (Press Association)
Bruce will have to pay £10m if he wants to sign midfielder Stephen Ireland from Manchester City. (Daily Mirror)

Forward Craig Bellamy could be on his way out of Manchester City to join Tottenham, who will make room for him by selling striker Robbie Keane to Aston Villa. Full story: Daily Mirror
Keane and McGeady on Villa?
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
Wolves spent 6.5 million pounds, so 10 million wouldn't be a good enough profit, especially considering the money they'd lose if they got relegated, which they almost certainly would without Doyle.
If Doyle really wanted to move, and a team offered in the region of 13 to 15 million, I'm sure a deal would be made.
Doyle may not be worth 13 or 15 million in terms of how much other teams would spend on him, but he's absolutely priceless for Wolves.
As for McGeady/Keane to Villa, by the sounds of it they don't have much money to work with there. I'd be surprised if they both went there, but I could see one of them going....I think McGeady probably fits more into what they're trying to do there, as they have quite a lot of decent strikers already. Maybe if Milner goes they could both end up there, who knows?
I think Milner is almost certain to go - a part-exchange deal could be Ireland's out from City.
I think the Doyle situation is fairly clear. He's worth more to a team like Wolves than his reasonable market value, which probably is about 10 million.
Marc Wilson rumoured to be on the verge of a £3mil move to West Ham, as a long term replacement for Scot Parker in the Hammers Midfield.

Seems to be down to the Avram Grant connection.
I can't see Scott Parker leaving, to be honest. He's a good player but not the standard required for a team with realistic ambitions of the Champions League.
I don't think the Man City link is realistic, but Aston Villa sounds like a realistic possibility if Milner moves on. I don't think Aston Villa are realistic contenders for a Champions League spot any more, with the emergence of Man City, and to a lesser extent, Tottenham. I realize Spurs have a Champions League spot now, but I think this is a temporary situation...
Robbie linked with fulham now aswell as aston villa, stevie ireland aswell.
Fulham link probably depends on Jol but I don't think they'd be able to afford him anyway.
Charlie I was reading the Fulham owner is offering 20 million pounds for new signings to whoever they bring in as manager, which would be enough to get Keane and another player or two.
I dunno, the rumour said jol would have 20 million bucks to work with. Either way would love to see him play with duff, or with mcgeady at villa. One of the main thing's missing from the irish team i think is a decent partnership. Other than that, if keano was playing with stevie ireland, could be a good influence to get that fecker back playing for us.
Jon Walters linked with QPR:

In the Examiner today that Dave Mooney has been told he can find another club, also John O'Flynn's trial at Bristol City has ended without a contract offer.
Blackpool boss Ian Holloway admits he is unlikely to be able to bring Everton defender Seamus Coleman back to the club after the 21-year-old Irishman impressed in the Toffees' pre-season games.
Aston Villa could be priced out of a move for Celtic winger Aiden McGeady, 24, after Spartak Moscow bid £9.5m for the Republic of Ireland international - with Villa unwilling to bid more than £7.5m.
